Hi there, love your review/ unboxing. I also have the set and I love it.

In case you haven't found out since this video, the "Byrne" in "John Byrne" is pronounced "Burn". They mention him several times in "Look Up In The Sky! The Amazing Story Of Superman" included on the set. If you haven't had the chance to check it out, do so. It is a really worthwhile documentary covering Superman in many of his incarnations from his beginnings to 2006, when it was produced.

I grew up watching the Superman movies, so of course I like them. That said-- I actually like Superman Returns the best... ... no people being sucked into space because Superman reversed the earth's orbit, no super-signal logo, no magical kiss, no anything from S3, and no solar-power inconsistencies. In short, no stupid "WTF" moments. Hate me if you like.

Also, I'm majorly bummed that the new Superman movie is going to have Zod as the villain. I WANT DARKSEID, damn you!!!

I dont know why people don't like Superman Returns. it was obvious that they wouldn't top Superman 1 and 2, but it wasn't that bad. I enjoyed it. Brandon Routh wasn't to bad and the actions was phenomenal. I also liked Jor-El's narration in some scenes that made it feel classic and heightened the experience. Bryan Singer did a great job.

I live outside the US and dont have the slipcase, and neither disc 14 bryan singer journals on this set! sadley they didnt add those outside of the us, but still awesome set! and superman returns was queit a good movie only i think the beginning was a bit too long till u actually see superman in action, i love the ending of the movie to where he sayd the father becomes the son, and the son becomes the father, Your set looks awesome! and pretty cool u won this!

I've got this set, but the UK version doesn't have a lenticular cover with the pic of superman flying. It is a great set though.

Very cool set, my friend! I have all the Superman movies, but all separate, so I'm missing out on all these awesome features, lol. I never got around to watching "Returns" though... I bought it a while back cuz it was cheap and I had 1 through 4, but I've heard so many bad reviews that I can't convince myself to watch it... My favorite is definately the first one, without a doubt a classic, with part 2 being a close second :)

I'd like to see the "Donner Cut", I'm curious as to what's different.

I used to like superman 4 when I was a kid. But now I realize it's crap, lol. Now I like the original one the best. Superman returns was ok. Great update as usual!

Thats a nice set! Now all you need is Supergirl the movie and you'll be set! I actually liked Superman Returns. Granted it could've had a bit more action in it and I wasn't a big fan of the costume (I thought it was too dark, I like Christopher Reeves costume better. Superman is a symbol of hope, his costume is supposed to be bright) BUT...LOL I thought it was something different that we hadn't seen in a superman story before.

Is that the 2006 version or the 2007 edition. There was a controversial thing where the second movie in this set was not what was described on the specs and they re released it in 2007 with more features. Both look identical on the outside though. Which one do you have

Yeah, I was aware of that issue as well, this appears to be the newer corrected version. I think most people that got one with the issue were either refunded or given the correct replacement, from what I read a while back. I'm sure there are probably a few floating around out there still though.

i have the fast food toys to superman retruns i have some of the books and action figure i got for a dollar never open and i have a post card thing they gave out when u went to see the move and i have some newspaper clippings and then i have like a belt and i have sweat shirts, comics and books about Christoper reeves and stickers and clothing i guess u can say i love superman sorry about the bad spelling on the last post
