With the exception of gunstar heroes why don't I see treasure ever release their games on the ps3. Gunstar heroes is one of the top rated games on psn, yet I have not seen any of their other games released on ps3/psn. What further baffles me is that treasure is a Japanese video game company in which the asian region is mostly nintendo and sony dominant. What gives treasure? Show us U.S.A. gamers a little love stateside why don't ya.

can someone tell me the name of an arcade game that existed in the 80's which was 4 player and was sort of like this but not as crazy? contained 4 people playing at once with jetpacks.

spirits ftw, portable bangai-o is unholy fun!

Question:they state even in the game that bangai o spirits may not display all the missiles because the ds cannot process it......hm wonder if the 3ds will display them and not lag?

I hope they don't botch this. Something about the less amount of cartoon-y makes me just a tad weary. However, Treasure is good, and anything Bangai-O makes me happy.

It's kind of awesome this game is coming out, Bangai-O was such an amazing game.

I love my bangai-o spirits except for the fact that the sound load doesn't work for me. Why doesn't the virtual console have bangai-o ?? I mean , we have sin & punishment on there. This looks soooo crisp. Like the zoom-in effect when unloading burst. Don't like the fact that they didn't include the evil laugh when you blow up.

I am a TREASURE fan, unfortunately for them, I own a Wii because of Sin and Punishment Star Successor. A Downloadable HD game of Bangai-o is not enough to warrent purchasing another console. Bring this to Wii on a Disc release then we'll talk.

@stringanime Unfortunately, it's probably never going to Wii as it's looking more and more tailored to an unhindered online experience (level sharing and multiplayer w/o friend codes). As you're no doubt aware, however, you can still get your Bangai-O fix on Dreamcast or the DS. Oh and Sin and Punishment 2 is quite sublime, isn't it? =)

@earlyriser03 Yeah I got Bangai-o for N64 Dreamcast and DS. I designed a stage so difficult and frantic on the DS version that upon completion and beating it I permanent damaged my Left Thumb joint. Sin and Punishment is sweet and I don't care what system Treasure makes games for as long as it comes out on Disc or Cartridge, I can support them. This Non-disc stuff kinda puts a stamp on that though. BTW the DS version is my fav, because of the mechanics and replayability

@FrankStringini I'd like to get N64 Bangai-O one of these days. Preferably complete but even cartridge only would be fine. Have you tried out any Bangai-O levels people put on youtube? Some of them are really fun. Yes, intangible media can seem worrying but it's not bad. Although you are right, it's not truly worth buying an entirely new system just for one or two games. Maybe it will be released as a "Treasure's Best" compilation on a future system.

Wait, how about a new Franchise! yeah, a totally new franchise that is like Rakugaki Showtime, but no License, just a fighter loaded with all TREASURE characters!
