Why does everyone hate Feisar? Its superior handing is a must at higher speed classes like rapier and phantom. It makes up for its lower speed with the extra handling advantage over other ships.
That's awesome they ported Pulse over to PS2 - and awesome vid btw - but Sony really pisses me off. I'm a hardcore American Wipeout fan - have played every Wipeout ever - and all Sony ever does is screw us over. They don't release any of the Special Editions in the US, and now the newest Wipeout game is only for Vita. Big fat Samurai Warlord ups and natty glock respek to the Wipeout community but stank chunks of poop DISrespekt for Sony's weak handling of the best franchise in gaming history.
It's amazing how this game looks on PS2. The music was awesome like always. But the graphics were simply outstanding for a PS2 game. It only lacks HD and BumpMaps to look like a PS3 game. Great use of opacity and some other tricks. And the style - awesome. Playability - as always great. The only thing bad is loooong as hell load times.
@Goldstar4me Not too sure why it didn't record in Stereo at the time, my capture hook-up has full composite support. I uploaded this video using my netbook which only has one speaker, so I didn't notice it was in mono until I heard it through a headset.
It's hard to tell from a video, so I'm curious what you think since you've played the game first hand. Is it more worth it for me to just play Pulse with my PSP hooked up to my TV (I've done it before and it looks decent), or to important this game from Europe. I'm just wondering if the PS2 version will have better graphics on TV than the PSP version. I would hope so, but I'm not so sure.
Some tracks look really nice like moa therma and de konstruct, but some tracks also have 2d backgrounds. And not the good kind of 2d backgrounds. Low res backgrounds seem lazy imo. GT4 ran at 60 fps with 3d backgrounds. This game runs at 30fps and couldve handled extra details.
@LewisLongshanks I have the PSP version, and I can tell you that these graphics are improved a lot! Especially the ships' cockpits (check the glass!!!) and the engine flares. (also notice the red and green lights at the back of the ship).

I still prefer the psp version, just for the portability. Btw, try putting the HUD on dynamic most, i looks amazing.

@Mababama It appears to be the same, maybe with a more stable frame-rate and obviously running at a higher resolution.
