hitting the switch with the engine at that rpm wont even let the 4wd engage cause there is a built in safety that keeps it from turning on if the engine is running higher than 3000rpms,but it still can engage on its own.Polaris needs to address this problem it is fairly common. i own three polaris machines 04 700, 06 800, and 08 ranger xp . i broke my 700 once doing something similar ,not a hard or exspensive fix. i have found that colder weather makes them want to engage until warmed up good
As previously noted, this was NOT caused by the driver switching the AWD on at high rpms. This was a problem with the front diff switching on and off intermittently. The diff was replaced by the dealership under warranty and the problem was fixed.
I think this exemplifies the problem that Polaris has with it's automatic 4-wheel drive system. If they made the system operated controlled it would stay in or out depending on what the operator wanted. I have never liked the no 4 wheel drive until after you already need it system.
guess polaris will need to make the 4wd switch more idiot proof....dont worry if the idiots continue they will ruin this sport too, soon laws will be passed to further hinder buying, owning or riding one.
why would you post yourself being a dum fuk on the internet... you shoudltn be allowed to have a quad.. why would u be spinning that fast in he first place, thats not how you get out of mud clown
einstein here broke it by spinning that back wheels and whipping it into 4wd....ever wonder why you don't speed in your car and thow it in park.....yeah that's basically what happens.
people like this would destory a tank in one ride....no brand offer brains with the purchase. why not next ride whip it in reverse at 60mph then hold it to the floor?
