  • "Seems Legit"

    -You

  • Great video, very helpful and informative. I created a video showing how to avoid phishing scams: Check out my channel @ scambook

  • i almost got hacked but i noticed it quick i go in the red dead redemption forum and it redirected me to a youtube video with a naked emma watson but it had www1.something and it asked me to download adode flash player i closed it immediently! is there a way that they hacked me anyway?

  • @Stelios7xXx If you entered your information as shown, they could have hacked you.

  • @TheLOLCritic They don't need to hack at this point if you gave the information, just put it into YouTube, or try it out at more important places.

They may have gotten around it anyway via HTML code, but it's unlikely if you closed the browser immediately.

  • @MystyrNile You know what I meant by hacked. I mean like get into your account.

  • I am a phishing victim :(. Someone hacked into all my account and changed all my passwords. I have changed them many times but they were still able to get in and change it. They have stopped now... Does that mean they aren't getting any updates anymore? And if they still can track all my movements on my laptop how can i make sure that i have removed it and no longer blacklisted? PLEASE HELP?

  • @pysa30610

sounds like a keylogger rather than phishing.

  • @the0th Can you please help me and tell me how i can get rid of him. Thank you :)

  • @yodajedimindtricks I'm aware of that. I live there too. The catch is, none of my bank accounts or my family's bank accounts are under Scotiabank.

  • Today my grandma got a call from someone claming to be me. they said they were in mexico and needed some money. she didnt buy it and hung up after saying she dosnt think its me. they called again and an adult said ''I'm jeffreys loyar" (or however the fuck you spell that) ok, first of all , i dont have a loyar. second, how can i be in mexico if im at my grandmas house. Oh wait don't bother, they'l just tell thats not apropriate or if was ur own parents, theyed ground u or something.Maybe they react this way because they know it will land into deep crap. Why else would they get upset when u swear at the. unlike u, I'm actually decent enough to understand this.

  • 21 cybercriminals watched this video.

  • The crocks???

    Why not the HACK3RS

  • More people need to watch this. A lot more.

  • Please know that with recent advances in technology, opening an email can get you infected wiht a virus. Allbeit most of them dont hvae half-decent encryption, they can easily get the more basic info. For example, if your bank login already says your ID, and its the same for your wemail site, theyll know your bank ID and email. They then phish with the accurate info. --- And these days its possible to fake the url for the general part. Someone make an updated video. Prefferably a white-hat.

  • You wasted lots of papers..

  • 21 people were phishers

  • You don't have to be over 65---I've seen a lot of younger people fall for these too. It's the gullible people, young or old!

  • This guy sounds like NeverChris(youtube sensation)

  • hi

  • EVERYONE TWEET #brillsvillearizona TOO GET IT TRENDING PLEASE!!! :)

  • I'm very glad for this opportunity and will always remain asuch.Thank you very much.

  • Did he say PIN Number?

  • Have never received any phishing emails and if i do, thanks to this video. Got my self protected already.

  • O RLY?(Oh Really?)

FREE NO AD VIDEO AT ADBLOCK PLUS!(Not literally but just to block Youtube ads)

  • You got alot of arm hear:D

  • 20 people are phishers.

  • I just got 2 phishing E-mails, thanks to this video I knew it was fake, so I researched this video, and then forwarded the E-mails. Thanks leelefever. =)

  • i dont have a bank account o-o

and i get this email from a weirdo say something about putting my UK lottery money into my bank.

and i never played the lottery nor been tew teh UK

  • @xNicoleBabiee what do you mean dumbass this video is for people for credit cards not you

  • @xNicoleBabiee hahahahahaha :} funneh storay

  • @DMXP100 LMAO! Hi-five :3?

  • @DMXP100

    HI-FIVE!!!!! <3

  • @DMXP100 Lol once actually a few times I saw a comment on a online game video and I wen't there and it asked me to log in to view forums which on the real website you don't have to so I put please die for the username and for the password I put suck my dick for a dollar.

  • @DMXP100 haha that's awesome

  • @DMXP100 dude.. dont click those links.. they can get your info even just by visiting.. and you probably just signed yourself up for more spam

  • @DouglasMcK How can they do that? The webpage was a simple HTML page, and my antivirus didn't throw an alarm saying that something was trying to download onto my computer. Not to mention, they can't track who opens each email link; they're emailed in bulk. I gave them a joke address.

  • @DMXP100 look up pharming.. you can find it in my insecuirty playlist

  • "BOO!" *Thumbs down* xD

  • Man, thats my livlihood your messing with. Booo

  • @Apockalypse123 reported

  • booooo

  • YOU ARE THE BEST!

I had to know about CFLs for school and after watching your video i had three expressions.

    1st- :D funny!!

2nd- :o How does he do that?

    3rd-;) thanx!

  • I find the guide lacking.

It should mention that the sender's adress might be different than what you should expect, the website you are on could be different of what you expect, also the layout of the mail could be different. I;ve had plenty of phishing mails but it's usually really easy to see the difference.

  • @Qindje The video's old. Even though your comment's from 7 months ago, the video would still be at least a year old. Phishing has changed since then; it's becoming more... "competent" in appearance, although it's still pathetic.

  • Well gosh, I actually learned more than I did at school today :]

  • ive been phished on facebook what should i do?

  • @TheNinjafrogs your fucked

    what info did you give

  • @TheNinjafrogs Did you even watch it... Contact the company in question where your information has been compromised... IOW send a mail to or phone a helpdesk of facebook.

  • LOL

    0:45

    kehehehe

  • my runescape account get phished. thats means they stole all my stuff by illegal item tranfering!!!

  • I thought it was fy-sing not fi-shing

  • lol the people who dislikes this video fail at doing these steps or there a scamer LOL

  • First time I hear about this. Maybe that explains why money is regularly stolen from credit card? Thank you

  • to tell if it's a phishing site or not, simply make up a username and password and they will always let you in

  • @bubbieskh88 I saw one like that for wow it always says incorrect username/password so if it lets you in with fake or not with real then its phishing.

    Change your password immediately

  • They say if you give a man a fish he will eat for a day, but if you teach a man to phish he can eat for a life time.

  • @GhostInTheShell29 haha so funny.

  • nice handwriting.

  • I sometimes follow phishing pages, that doesn't contain malware. Then I enter bogus information, for such as "First name: Phishers sucks, Credit Card: 123456789 and other bogus info etc etc.

  • just today i recieved an email about

growing ur penis ....... i was like O_____o

i opened it and i saw a link

i didnt went to the link so i deleted the email

  • @8NIKKU8 Thats totally bizzare man! Yak!

  • great video, wisdom everyone can use, thank you,

you may also enjoy channel 52

    and the video

    You already gave you 10%

  • To take care of phishers, you gonna need a phishing net.

  • thank you

  • lolz I recieved one as well... but I just said 'Who the fuck are you?'

  • forward any email you suspect to be phishing to web tech support of the company the email *looks* like it came from and select "Full Message Headers" (or something to that effect) in the message send options/rules. They can use the email header information to narrow down the search for the perpetrators so they can prosecute. *Don't* bother telling bank customer service, because they can't do anything. Tell tech/web support. You can usually get that address right on the company's homepage.

  • how can I be sure that you speak the truth

  • I always knew the ninja turtles were involved in phishing scams!

  • Who fishes anyway?

  • @Gkthepwner A lot of phishing scams go on. Many people just don't realize it cuz everything looks legit.

  • the person need to click his nails it looks like his been scratching dried feccies of his ass

  • very nice video thanks for sharing

  • i bet the link is phishing

  • The silliest phishing email I received was one which purported to come from the Inland Revenue offeribg me an income tax repayment. I recognised it as a fake at once but, before I reported it, I decided to see how well the fraudulent site (based in China!) had been constructed.

On the whole, it was reasonably good apart, that is, for the form where they wanted one's personal information and address, complete with ZIP CODE.

We don't have Zip codes in the UK - zip codes are American.

    FAIL!!

  • Hahahaha I laughed at the Deer Valued Customer part xDD cuz i was like "lol deer xD" and he mentions Valued Customer xD

  • good information

  • Fortune Finder is a phishing scam, beware! they get you bank account number and credit card number then remove money from your account without your authorization.

  • I understand how the video is talking about phising links but how do I know if the email it self is infected as in I click on it and it starts to download programs and virus in the background ( silently) ?

  • cant you disguise website url's?

  • yaaay not only have you taught us to look out for phishing scams you also taught vaguely how to do a phishing scam and how to make the scam look more real

  • swavi.org steals your youtube account.

  • This video should be viewed by anybody over 65 who uses a computer.

  • @rpwatkins99 I know, i can detect a trap even if theyre well done, but sometimes i think fuck my dad would totally fall in this trap. I told him never to use his bank account on the internet, its a lot more of work going to the bank but its 100% safe that way.

  • @rpwatkins99 i agree.. people who r old and using facebook might get a hypertension cuz of this, now we dont want that, do we?

  • @rpwatkins99 well ur 65 and over too lol!!

  • Excellent video. Thank you for sharing.

  • This style of making informational videos is extremely watchable.

  • Its mostly asians with horrible grammar

  • @Oblivion3200

they are mostly American and European with a fat belly

  • I received like 30 to 40 scam messages in Steam for free games and stuff like that .

Damn these guys never stop =/

  • I get these mails about 250+ times a day :) cant imagine my inbox full of these mails

  • BOOOOOOOO!!

That just killed the whole video.

  • @PsychoticSnake it really did

    O.O

    lll lll

  • @1joel8 im kidding phishing is strictly black-hat very easy takes no skill and is not tolerated :D

  • I get those kinds of emails about 5 times a week!

  • BUT WHO WAS PHONE?

  • you spelled dear wrong as "deer" lol

  • @swim3330 He explained he said crooks will also sometimes missspell things

  • @swim3330 he meant to do that...he said there might be mispellings

  • YAY

  • I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS

  • do you know what is this the accent is he speaking?

  • You seriously have to be a failure at life to fall for a phishing e-mail.

  • Wow... this is interesting... thanks for this nice video... i got phished 3 times... :/ but i already got my account back :D

  • Paddis92- believe me mate, u say that now but ive just been a victim of this without even a slight suspicion its ubelivabley easy to get caught out and to be honest i'm finding it pretty embarrising that i didn't clock that somthing was wrong. so i really urge you dont get too confident because im usually good and recognising this and completly ignore this. but i wasnt carefull enough... please be carefull. :)

  • hah i get those all the time :D they tell me my credit card account has been closed or that somethings wrong with my bank account when i don't have either or :P

  • I understand that a lot of people don't understand how all this works, e-mail, online transaction and so forth but the real problem I have is how someone can get fooled by something like this. Even if I recieved an e-mail from my bank asking me for my account information, and obviously I knew it was my bank, I wouldn't hand it out. I expect them to take care of that for me, I shouldn't have to give them that kind of information.

  • hey a mans got to put food on the table

  • @joniqitu jkin

  • nice man

  • Lol, these guys are dumb, not CommonCraft, but the criminals. They send me emails apparently from banks that i have never walked into, never mind having an account with them

  • phishermen sucks

  • I wish I draw like you...Your drawing looks so good! You could be an artist!

  • LMAO

  • Many people say they think there should be a law passed to regulate the internet to prevent people from impersonating other web sites. This argument is of course based on fundamental ignorance of what the Web is and how it works, I think it would have been better to have addressed that such a law is impossible in the video. But you did at least tell people to check the address bar, which is the best advice to stop phishing scams.

  • Very good information.

  • How the hell did phishing got invented? It should be illegal around the world.

  • It is illegal...Murder is illegal too but criminals still do it...

  • @BoogsterSU2 it is illegal thats why the people who do it are criminals

  • Fishing software sounds like a fishing game :P

  • how i can becum involvd with mony makin thing? i wnats monie :(

  • @ShittiestChannelOnYT

Go finish your school, you might have a chance

  • lern2sarcasm

  • @ShittiestChannelOnYT

    ''lern2thinkz realisticz'

you dont get involved in moneymaking like 1.2.3. and get thousands of dollars :P

By the way, it was a joke

if you was offended, sorry then -.-''

  • Omg suspicious link at 2:03

  • Lol i didnt know 18- kids could have bank accounts till those phishers tried to tell me that my account is illegally accessed? When did i make that account? Hmmm i have probably forgotten >.>

    Anyways, Have fun fishing! :O

  • thanks for uploading. this will help many

  • how fucking stupid can you be

  • While replying to phishing scams confirms your email address, wasting their time is a good tool. Reply with phony passwords and you will have the perverse pleasure of knowing they will be all excited at first to have gotten a "hit" and then when your info turns out to be bogus, they will be pissed off and disappointed. I've even had them email back and say there was an "error", and could I please resend the information. That's when I tell them I've known all along they were phishers.

  • I received a phishing e-mail regarding ScotiaBank. Since I don't have a SB account, I knew it was phishing. So, when it asked me for my personal info, my card number and PIN were simply FUCKYOU. They had it coming.

  • @DMXP100 I've actually done that before myself lol. Since at the time I wasn't old enough for a bank account yet (I was like 16), I went to their "information" page to "update" my information and told them my name was Fuck You and I lived on 1349 Gofuckyourself Street. And then they had a "feedback" form at the bottom where I really let loose on them! :P

  • @Tekkenfreek234 Should have been 69 Gofuckyourself Street! LOL.

But, really? They were dumb enough to put in a feedback form? Wow. That's worse than worldofwarcarft(.)com! And yes, that was someone's epic failure at a phish, with one of the worst-spelled emails I have ever seen in my entire life.

  • @DMXP100 Lol! Phishers can be so dumb sometimes! One sad fact is that there are also people dumb enough to fall for it .

  • @Tekkenfreek234 That is the unfortunate truth. The only reason people are using these scams, however stupid they may be, is because they always work.

  • @DMXP100 XD The most funniest thing ever !!!

  • @DMXP100

dude I managed to act stupid enough over 5 or 6 e-mail to get a guy to set up a meeting with me (Got his IP and said I lived in the general area it got traced back to). When I didn't show up he was like "wut" and I was like "FHUCKA YUU"

  • @DMXP100 IKR

  • @DMXP100 so now they have your ip address and know your email is legit. congrats

  • @djdickhead No, they don't. Phishing sites are usually just simple HTML websites, and the emails don't go to any specific person; they're emailed en masse.

  • @DMXP100 PWN FTW

  • Haha, I laugh every time someone says "PIN number".

    Personal Identification Number number.

  • Thanks

  • the whole net is scam
