@orangeloser Basically because Kirk improvised between solos and he and the rest of metallica has to detuned the instruments one tone down to fit the James Hetfield's voice. Many guitar players in concert may not playing their solos as their appears in their albums, just to show their guitar skills.

Escape is the only song from Kill em all to Black album they never have played live and they say that they never will either. Kinda sad TBH, i really like that song.

actually it isn't the only song never played from that era. The Frayed Ends of Sanity, To Live Is To Die have never been played live in its entirety. they have been in medleys but not in full. Also Eye Of The Beholder hasn't been played in its entirety either.

Actually, Eye of the Beholder had been played sometimes in its entirety between the autumn of 1988 and the summer of 1989. It was the fifth song in the setlist usually before Harvester of Sorrow. There is a video on youtbue when they perform it in Seattle, 1988 (not in 1989, not at the big concert!). But these AJFA songs are the most requested, I would like to hear them so much when I see them on May 14, 2010, Budapest!

They wanted something easy that the radio could play, opposed to some heavy shit that the radio wouldn't play. It was sort of like "selling out," but they are in complete denial about the song.
