skate 2 skydive glitch tutorial xbox 360

CAN SOMEONE HELP. Every time I do this glitch it cuts out right when I get airborne and respawns me on the ground. Why?

easy way get off your board turn 90 degrees (right) jump then hold rt and tap y then you will jump very high

it took me atleast 50 time but now i got it butim still not as good as u i need some practice :)
