I feel like i started a trend by not voting for TheEvilGrimace.

Of all 10 entries, SatoshiLyish was the ONLY one who had what I was looking for in this piece. Listen from :19 to :29. Notice how detached the notes in the melody are. Now compare that to SatoshiLyish's version; he was the only one that did that the correct way, AND it was a darn good remix at that. Lyish is my clear number one.

Thepillows93, the other remixer, gets my silver. Incorporating the Inspector Gadget theme was the most creative thing I've ever heard of, and I loved the percussion.

Also, it is worth noting that Thepillows did have the staccato notes, sorta but the Game Boys were unfortunately dwarfed by the other sounds. It is also notable that no ridiculous tempo was necessary (in my opinion, going way fast just to break the 5-note limit is always unnecessary. If triplets need to fit in, that's different.)

My 3rd is Tapion013. It means a lot that he used the original sounds with a regular tempo. His percussion was excellent; however, next time, have better articulation.

Also, as was noticed, sorry for not voting for you. ^^; I was kinda disappointed by the scarcity of dynamics; I liked the big sound, but it drowned the bass line and carried out too much. Several times I'd hear the end of an instrument and not know where or what it was. But you are talented with a high tempo; a very, very honorable mention.

3: Tapion013 - I actually really liked this version, it sounded quite nice despite the fact that it was fairly simple. The recording quality left a little to be desired, but as far as the music was concerned, there really wasn't anything BAD in it.

2: theEvilGrimace - To quote KarmaJolt, holy balls. Use of Dickspeed tempo made for a very fleshed out sound over all, and allowed for some very tricky moves in the program. I did feel that there could've been a little more volume rape though.

lol, true. I think the Notessimo soundset is too...synth? for my tastes. It definitely has a broader range of instruments and range of pitches, but soundfonts ATM give me much more control over the music.

No, I did not create Notessimo 2. The creator, Jean-Denis Boivin (Starburst997 on YT), has that distinction. I am merely the preeminent user. He does have a penchant for synths. I'm still trying to get him to put the MP sounds in (he included them in the first iteration of Notessimo), but he's been busy lately, leaving the game and forum in a hellish beta/limbo unfinished state. You're the second user to call me the creator... maybe I should just go with it, I don't think he comes on YT often...

Well, I think I'm ready to vote. This was a TOUGH, TOUGH decision.

1. SatoshiLyish:

Pros: Great remix, bass line is better than in the original, comical yoshis

Cons: The only thing I can dock you for is lack of harmony.

2. ertai50506:

Pros: Acurate rendition, spot-on drums and bass (I don't honestly care for the 8va stacked bass)

Cons: Just a couple bad notes, harmony is not quite prominent enough, for my tastes.

Pros: Catchy inspector gadget jingle, reminescent melody&harmony.

Cons: While the star jingle is great, I'm kinda thinking that it is too controlling. I would have liked to hear more of it, continued out the song, also, there was little-to-no remixery of the harmony part.

3. Ertai50506- Used the original soundfrount and it sounded good, but it's the orginal so it won't sound as good.

2. theEvilGrimace- It sounds close to perfect, but it scares me.

1. SatoshiLyish- Its very fun to watch and listen to (Ha, annotations), and it sounds great as remix

1.- Satoshilyish: this was the most enjoyable to watch, The bass, rythim and the interlude are the strongest points in this video, and a special mention to the annotations.

2.- Theevilgrimace: accuracy, superb harmony and dickspeed (lol), this was the "ZOMG its-better-than-the-original" entry.

3.- Sonicfan113: very similar to theevilgrimace´s entry, I liked the way he used double mushrooms and boats at certain parts to make the rythim sound stronger, this was my favorite entry before the "beasts" arrival.

This was a really tough tossup between 1st and 2nd place, but here's my votes.

1.ThePillows93 - The hipness and overall enjoyability of the song is what eventually won me over. I liked the animal mixes too, woof!

2.TheEvilGrimace - Most accurate rendition submitted, with an energetic edge. Being able to reproduce all the sound effects is quite a feat.

3.ertai50506 - Pretty enjoyable mix without too many errors. I would say what's most lacking are the cars..the main melody needs more of a push.

I get to vote, right?! RIGHT?! and we get three?! HOLY MOLY okay. if not...then whatever...here are my voties down sides and up sides included yays!

1)Ertai505056 - 2000 tempo aside. Original soundfont. Sounds great.

2)Satoshilyish - a few sour notes to me. But low tempo and sweet bass line sold it ^^

3)theEvilGrimace - Maybe it was just the soundfont, but the whole thing sounded a little messy. That aside, loved the 34ths? used for the fall.

1. Thepillows93 -- Go go gadget 100 points! Done well at a respectable tempo and remixed beautifully. No splash on the entry either, 10.0!

2. SatoshiLyish -- Liked the "sad melody," and the use of <700 tempo. Your last minute annotations made this a very difficult decision, but I'm going to stick to my original 1,2,3.

3. theEvilGrimace -- Lost out to Satoshi due to use of dickspeed. It was really a toss up between you two. Enjoy your only 3rd place vote.
