@CATPWRD no, but it can seat 6, comfortably...and still get 25mpg (bj diesel) and run with 1 passenger, and 1200lbs of stuff for around 1500 miles on my main tank and my secondary tank of fuel, and run on veg oil, kerosene, and it can be beaten to shit and back because its not a 60K+ dollar vehicle that id worry about resale...LC's retain their value, parts cheaper, uber easy to work on, and well they are just cooler...soooorrry :)

2002+ only wagon and open tops were available.

GM only sales the H1, they don't produce it although AMG, who produces it, uses a GM made engine...

change the engine to a cummins or a duramax and the H1 gets 16-17mpg... it gets 12 with the stock engine. its not that bad considering.. the gasoline versions get much worse

Hummer H1's are awesome. 8,000 lb curb weight is what affords all that traction. 500 ft lb or torque is NEEDED to move that girth. If I had 100K laying around I'd buy one. My stock chevy extended cab could climb that hill sure but it would take some throttle at the top and a run at the bottom.

I do tend to use extreme examples to illustrate a point, more often people are able to grasp it better then. Yes, H1s top out around 70 mph, depending on year. I've heard the newest HMMWVs can do 90, they keep improving it. Yes, he could hit that hill at 30, if he can find enough runway, but I he probably couldn't hit 30 even if he started at the top of the hill behind him.

I used to have that exact same hummer and glad i changed it for a range rover, it was horrible, they are terrible off road, the body stresses a lot, the brakes rub and the steering is shaky plus you only get about 7 to the gallon off road, i held the tyre inflator swith on too long and all four tyres blew up when i was on the freeway trying to push past 55mph, its the worst and cheapest put together 4x4 ever built and worst of all, the paint scratches easy h1 h2 and h3 are a load of rubbish
