thanks nipple. i'm gonna learn this song on the ol guitar and sing it at my sisters wedding haha she wants me to play jack johnsons "angel" but i'm gonna lay this out first
Sir I dont mean to be tellin tales outta school but theres a man in there who'll pay you cash to sing into his can......Im not here to make a record you dumb cracker
I may have had my Guitar tuned down semitone from standard concert pitch on the day I did this ( or maybe just slightly sharp/flat).
I often do that on the Guitar ( both electric and Acoustic) as it helps with string bending, and reduces tension on a heavy set of strings.
I play the six strings at the end of the video for this very reason, try tuning to one of those with the Capo on the 3rd fret, then take it off, and tune the rest of the strings to that one.
@lukessummerguitar I could've sworn I've heard Dan play it in Drop-D at least once, but I've almost always heard it in DADGAD, otherwise. Personally, it sounds great either way you play it, but DADGAD has a certain "tone" that I really appreciate.
Either way, you've done a beautiful job recreating the sound of the original. I'd play with ya any day!
Woooooooo-wee. Boy, that was a miiiighty fine a-pickin'. I'll tell you what, you come on in here and sign these papers here and I'm a gonna you ten dollars.
it would be real nice if somebody would just explain how to play this song, everyone on here thinks everybody can just watch you play it slow and start jammin along, yeah right
Brilliant..!! I kept on expecting you to burst into song too! Thanks for that I play guitar and banjo so I will copy your chords and style. How about considering doing the song as well some time? Thank you from the UK .
dang!

Thank you for shredding and not sucking or talking the whole time. This is one of the best videos out there for this song .Is that an old yamaha?
dcvalentine1782 3 months ago
@dcvalentine1782
Actually it is an old Hohner Guitar.
It isn't very good as instruments go, but it has a nice action and has a relatively pleasing sound for chord work.
