You know what? I'm actually quite pleased to discover the fox spirit is boy. To me it lends a sort of brotherly relationship between the characters, a sort of young admiration from the fox. (As opposed to the young crush vibe I got from the video earlier, though the video didn't seem to imply the older boy returned this crush.)

I've never even heard of this anime, but I can say that it looks very cute. I especially like how emphasized the brotherly affection here; as a girl who lost 3 of 4 of her brothers, I can honestly say that it is a relationship we all want and this video did well of expressing that!
