His music was as interesting as paint drying, and the only reason people liked him was because of all that crazy shit he did. Crass is in my opinion, the greatest punk band out there. They were anarchists and pacifists, they didn't believe in fucking shit up like these bands that think anarchy is chaos. I.e the exploited. Which is bullshit and makes me realize real punk is dead, and it's ideals have gone down the drain with the influx of bubblegum "punk" bands like greenday, blink, and offspring. There were other bands with the same ethos around the same time, from this side of the pond the Sub hum ans were a great punk band with a proper political message. And from the other side of the pond there was the Dead Kennedys. Which is best ? I dunno, Crass were British punk, the DKs were American punk, I love them both equally, both taught me things as a teenager that have stayed with me, I listen to both equally now I'm middle aged.

Crass is in my opinion, the greatest punk band out there. They were anarchists and pacifists, they didn't believe in fucking shit up like these bands that think anarchy is chaos. I.e the exploited. Which is bullshit and makes me realize real punk is dead, and it's ideals have gone down the drain with the influx of bubblegum "punk" bands like greenday, blink, and offspring. Not hating, just sayin' man.

We already live in oppression and violence, so whats the point of wanting anarchy with it? I listen to some anarcho chaotic bands, but whenever i hear one of their chaos preaching songs I change the song because it's just downright stupid. They can have some good views, but the whole violence thing is a little played out.

A lot of rap these days has a punk type attitude aswell. Not any of you average gun chattin chavs or any of your pop tart chipmunks and lil waynes.. but in artists such as lowkey, logic, akala and true bess. It's more interlectual and political in most of it. But it's got the same anti imperialism.

There were other bands with the same ethos around the same time, from this side of the pond the Sub hum ans were a great punk band with a proper political message. And from the other side of the pond there was the Dead Kennedys. Which is best ? I dunno, Crass were British punk, the DKs were American punk, I love them both equally, both taught me things as a teenager that have stayed with me, I listen to both equally now I'm middle aged.

So if you buy a crass shirt, then its exactly like paying for music on limewire.
