San Andreas did have co-op..u just had to find the little spots on the map where you caqn activate it...those little floating red signs...then u can do 2player :D

If your friend have a xbox 360, you both can hook the two systems up together and play the co-op that way without a internet connection. But I think you have to pay for the cored that links the two systems together.
