Cities XL is more user friendly, you dont have to place water pipes or electricity.

As long as you have water and power plants you will be fine.

Not really, I played for a couple of days straight after the release, then about 2-3 times a week for the rest of this video series.

Windturbines dont give any energy at all, I would have to fill the whole map with them to support the city.

There are no solar panels or recycle center.

What you could do if you dont like the burial grounds is to use another city as a waste dump so that you can have a clean main city without garbage.

in the first 2 minutes of your video, in the executive areas of your city, did you lay those roads out yourself or did the game do it for you ?

Is there much freedom in terms of roads and layouts?

All the roads was built by me.

Cities xl got one of the best road systems of any game, superior to the sim city games. A lot of options and you can curve the roads anyway you want.

I'm jealous of your ability to run that game so smoothly! =P

Once I build larger cities, it runs horribly, even on low settings, it takes forever for things to show up when I click on menus and such, and it only gets worse after playing the game for an hour or so. The latter must be this "memory leak" I've been hearing about. Hope they get to fixing it.

Great video's. I'm definitely going to buy this game but i think i need a new computer. The strange building at 10:00 is in London opposite the Tower of London. I think i would build a huge city on a flat plane and go single players. Too expensive for the monthly. Can you still build all over the world with different cities and link them in single player mode?

Ive been to London 3 times and did a whole day in the tower of London. I have to go back some day because the City hall wasn't built when I was there.

London is a great town for tourists.

It takes a while for YouTube to process the video, first you will get really bad quality, then HQ and after an hour or so they will add the HD version.
