@jjeerrkkyy Frames per second.. makes the video more smooth for more analysis. Not that your video is bad, I was just looking to see if there was something better for what I wanted.
@ChainGang220 oh haha, this was slowed down using imovie HD so its not the greatest. And its the only slow motion video i have seen on youtube, thats why i put it up.
@Duhblin That's quite ironic you'd mention him. I already requested copies of a few of his videos, and he does not have Jose Bautista. Thanks for the idea though.
@maginick24 k try getting backspin with an outside pitch, inside, high and low not possible u cant swing down!!! not gonna happen dont argue with me either im wayyyyy better than u!
@cheesbobmcgrady Actually, Backspin is created by hitting the bottom 1/3 of the ball. Backspin will add more distance to a hit. Some professional hitters do in fact add a downward cut.
Although, it is also true that a home run can be hit with a square hit and an upper cut. The problem with that is, when the ball is hit square in the middle it will knuckle. That will affect the distance of the hit.
Normally, the result of a squarely hit ball and level swing is a line drive.
@cheesbobmcgrady If you were supposed to swing up, you would hold your hands at your knees to start with. Your hands will always be above the ball. You can't hold your hands up, take them down, then take them back up to hit a 90+ mph fastball.

I'm guessing this is an example of rotational hitting?

@jjeerrkkyy Yeah.. I couldn't find another one anywhere else ;p I guess I'll have to use somebody else's swing. Thanks though.

@ChainGang220 @jjeerrkkyy
FPS = frame rate. Jerky, slowing it down in iMovie does nothing if the camera has a low framerate.
Check the youtube channel "laflippin". He has great swing videos around 300FPS. Not sure if he has Jose Bautista though.

He shifts his weight so well and his hands are always above the ball.

@lennonisright there not above the ball you cant hit a homerun when your hands come down!
cheesbobmcgrady 5 months ago
@cheesbobmcgrady um yeah you can, you think all homeruns are with an uppercut? its called backspin.

@Johnniewilliams20 Actually a squarely hit ball produces a knuckleball!

@cheesbobmcgrady That's exactly what I said... "The problem with that is, when the ball is hit square in the middle it will knuckle."
If you really have something to prove, post a video of you hitting better than Jose Bautista.
