@satch1011: I know what you are feeling. My cat passed away a few years ago. Watching Maru cheers my day. Cute cat vids used to make me cry because it reminded me that my cat was gone. Now stray cats keep showing up at the door. I may have to adopt one of them eventually. They make me so happy! I agree. As soon as you feel you are ready, get another cat. A sense of wholeness will return to your heart.

Did some looking around and it could be multiple things. It can be the suffix used for young childhood samurai boy names. Or it could be that Maru is also the name for circle or round. Maru also happens to be a popular cat name apparently.
