I think it was Federer's bad luck because he was turning pro in the transforming moment of 2 era of tennis : serve + go to the net &volley => baseline rally so he had to take time to adopt to that change ( you can see how he has changed ) If Federer was born in the same time as Djokovic, who can see what will happen ? ND won his first GS at age 20 whereas Fed took until 23 but I wouldn't call Fed a late bloomer. He finished the 2002 season ranked 6 at 21 years of age, not far behind where ND was at the same stage, ATP rank 2, 1 GS title. Fed took only slightly longer to fulfill his vast potential. Until he retires or slows down he'll continue to rob ND of GS titles.

I think it was Federer's bad luck because he was turning pro in the transforming moment of 2 era of tennis : serve + go to the net &volley => baseline rally so he had to take time to adopt to that change ( you can see how he has changed ) If Federer was born in the same time as Djokovic, who can see what will happen ? @doodoobaby992, he wasn't so good when he was ND's age? He beat Pete at Wimbledon when he was 19 and finished the year ranked 13. ND won his first GS at age 20 whereas Fed took until 23 but I wouldn't call Fed a late bloomer. He finished the 2002 season ranked 6 at 21 years of age, not far behind where ND was at the same stage, ATP rank 2, 1 GS title. Fed took only slightly longer to fulfill his vast potential. Until he retires or slows down he'll continue to rob ND of GS titles.

djokovic has got those long arms and that height over Federer and Nadal - and while he is talented, his skill is not as deep as Federer. I think his height speed and strength is what getting him/ and once Federer and Nadal adjust to that - It's pretty much over for him.

Wrong. Everyone gets upset when they lose. Roger has come out and said how frustrating it gets when the media is the one that has 'created a monster' in that they always expect him to win all the time. Though he does lose and has expressed pride in that he has come in second 3 years running on at R>G. on clay. But Roger himself said how frustrating it is when his smaller accomplishments are seen as failures. Don't blame the guy for being good. He's one of the nicest players around.

Djokovic beat #3 (Roddick) in QF, #2 (Nadal) in SF to get to the final where he beat #1. It hasn't been done since Becker in 1994 so it ain't a piss easy draw.

Baghdatis just had one good tournament, or maybe a few more after the Aussie Open. But djokovic is different, he has beaten nadal twice this year and nearly do so in the Wimby semis but forced to forfeit because of the unlucky injury. Baghdatis never beat fed. There is a BIG difference between 2 of them.

Let's be fair: this guy Nole Djoker is FAN-TAS-TIC.
He is the Elvis Presley of tennis. I explain. I am not really a rock 'n roll lover but since I watched Elvis, he made me feel so good about everything he did that I ended up liking even his movie songs (-: same thing happens with Nole, I am not really a big tennis lover but since I have been watching Nole playing, I became one. Nole is definitely guided by a LUCKY star and when I watch him I feel that star shines a bit on me too. Thankx, Nole.

don't get me wrong. i'm a federer fan too. I like the way he plays. but the way he speaks those words sometimes makes me sick. the interview before and after the match shows he took djokovic lightly and didn't accept being lost to him. sucker. wadda loser. y don't just admit djokovic was playing absolutely well in the match.

wtf? He's a champion who before became number one already been compared with the likes of Pete Sampras and past greats. Everybody knows he's the best at best especially himself. Why does he need to give praise to a dishonest prickly attituded guy who uses gamesmanship all the time who have absolutely nothing special? Federer can say all he wants

man i'm a federer fan myself. but i have to disagree on this matter. looking at fed, that's exactly what a sore loser do. Fed gets all the praise since he won first wimbledon. y not give one out to someone who beat him fair & square. A true champion, even though he is great, he admits that his opponent is better when he loses to him. it's just gamesmanship man. besides, djokovic played absolutely well in the match, a better player in the match. I didn't see any dishonesty there from him

haha man u really hate djokovic :D! his attitude is sometimes annoying, but he's a great player. similar to agassi i think. besides he's still young. well some young guys have that attitude like you said in ur comment.
losing is hard to accept, no matter who u lose to. but u gotta admit it u know, and it's not that difficult to say it if u only lose like less than 5 times a year :D.

I am tired of people who are saying Federer had a bad day or Federer underestimated Novak... The fact that Djokovic beat top 3 players on tour in 3 days says everything!!! Just look the Roger's face after match and u will see that he was really pissed off

Winning is winning, losing is losing. no excuses.
fed, stop being such a cry baby. you beat so many players and only losing once or twice a year already makes u such a cry baby?
only demand respect and never give some back to those who beat him. u should learn about respect more from people who you beat regularly.

Looks like Federer really hate the drop shots. How many times D. won the point from his excellent drop shots? Federer is too much a gentelment that he won't do drop shots on a regular basis. He must be pissed because he lost the game to graceless drop shots.

don't be upset : ) if someone should relax it's certainly u : ) safin and hewitt are and have been good yea but they never have been strong mentally and complete as djoko is : ) he has the mental the progression and the potential of a future number one ; ) not now but soon or later... : )
