Please, please please, can everyone look at the footage again of the collapse of the twin towers and notice how the large sections that fall disintegrate into dust before they hit the ground. A EMP pulse is certainly an alternative to nuclear war which would likely have a comparable effect. 99% of all vehicles on the road in the US would not even run without their electronic engine controls(electronic ignition, electronic battery charging, etc.). I can't even imagine the civil unrest in somewhere like NYC with no power, no running vehicles, etc. for any prolonged period.

If I had the technology to send heat waves I would point it at Algores house, and turn it to full heat :)
