If Richard decides that he wants to release any additional Carpenters Christmas music to the public,it's up to Richard. Same thing holds true with all of the Carpenter specials for DVD purchase. Richards a Husband, a Dad who has very talented children, perhaps the next generation of Carpenters I think so. Rich can do his music now under his own terms & enjoy the fruits of his Labor. Do check out "Christmas turned Blue" "December Morn"& "Together at Christmas Again" (warning can bring on tears)
@PrometheusSansei It's from a cartoon "Peace On Earth," which can found here on YouTube. Just search for "cartoon peace on earth," and you'll see it listed.
@PianoBea It's a picture of the album cover "Carpenters - An Old Fashioned Christmas." This song can be found on that album. I always try to showcase the album that the song came from, at the end of of my videos.
@PianoBea The giving of St. Nicolas (the basis of the Santa Claus myth) echoes the gifts of the Magi to the Christ child, hence, the aparition of Santa Claus is not anachristos.
a beautiful rendition from someone we lost much too early. i never tire of this song, even during the hottest months of the year in the mid -south. thanks for posting it.
@rte66byhd This is a good song, and i've always liked the Carpenters, but you should definitly listen to Casting Crowns - I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day Live. The Casting Crowns version is the first version I heard of this song. It is truely amazing.
Such haunting memories. All through my childhood my parents played Carpenter's Christmas albums every year....Brings back memories when my family was still together.

Hmm... I don't get why Santa shows up at the end, when it's kind of a Christian song.

@PianoBea Santa's Christian too - at least his origins are. :) We Catholics still celebrate his feast day on December 6th each year.

@PianoBea You don't understand why Santa Claus shows up on a song called "I Heard the Bells on CHRISTMAS Day"?
