  • his smile gets on my nerves XDD but he is great

  • infectious

  • pretty fluid..

  • People just can't hack it if someone is a good person and HAS talent as well ! Long live Liberace - what a swell guy.

  • Liberace had to be just about the best pianist that ever lived. He could play any thing, and about ever style music there ever was.I used to watch his TV show all the time back in the late 60's.

  • He's like the best piano player i've ever seen. When i saw him perform this song in the video from 1940 my jaw just dropped because i've never seen someone play that fast. He's just incredible. He seems like a very fun guy because he always smiles and i love it :)

  • He was an incredible man, amazingly gifted and brilliant. People made fun of him for being gay but not one of those people could match him in talent or in grace. In every video you watch of him, you will see a warm smile and a talented person doing what he loved. There will never be another like him, and sadly the world didnt appreciate him when they had him. Now we are left with these videos of his love for music and of a sweet human being....... Thank you for posting this video

  • @Stevesheart1 I so agree. I was never a fan of his, but I was watching the Smother's Bros, and came across his clip there, which was fantastic! Can I ask you, what do you think of him suing newspapers that implied he was gay? I still can't believe he was born outside of Milwaukee and look forward to going up their to see where he was born. Have you been up their?

  • 0:50 = Beast

  • it just makes me laugh :-)

  • did i just see that? that was amazing 10/10

  • Lovely performance

  • Does alot of this come natural for him, or did he have to practice till his fingers fell off?

  • If I had 1/512th the talent he has I'd feel pretty good!

  • Liberace never owed anyone an explanation for anything. He owned his talent - and he alone. He pioneered the grandiose style of stage performance and he did much of it at his own financial expense. He also donated MILLIONS of dollars to charity everywhere. He was very generous man who asked for nothing, except to perform - and that he did. He was absolutely remarkable. I miss him terribly.

  • Best of the best

Because of this guy my love of pianos and piano music was born

    Thank you

  • an absolute genius

  • LOOOVE Liiberace ..... This boy had the lightest touch of any male pianist I ever heard .... Miss you Lee .........

  • yuk!

  • Without a doubt, the greatest, most versatile, pianist of all time. If you haven't heard it,, listen to his Boogie Woogie...16 to the bar... unbelievable

  • absolutely awesome. best piano player as far as im concerned, gay or not.

  • A great talent. So sad he could never find the right girl.

  • That was f....ing amazing.

  • That is just some amazing s*@#$.

  • This is great, and this shows what a sweet person he was too!!! I love Liberace

  • Greatest Pianist in history

  • dude..if i wear a dress will i be as good as him??

  • Comment removed

  • being a little kid i confused him with Benny Hill....hheheeh, they look similar.

i always liked Benny Hill.....but i could never see too much of Liberace here, but i liked too, music can be done without this "I AM SO SERIOUS" stupid thing..

  • Mr Showmanship, some were probably a little crazy but, his fans love it, just like me loving Benny Hill!

  • benny hill is great, and liberace is a great entertainer, i, mwatching you stuff..good!

  • In our days there are no more genius men like him. Only comedians, stupid commercial, speichellecker und Heloten. Einfach ekelhaft und widerwärtig the showbizz today. Brot und Spiele. Kunst kommt von Können. Danke Liberace! R.I.P. with love.

  • His sideburns are wicked :D

  • Absolutely amazing!! Where did showmen like

    these go???

  • Heaven

  • And here is is... 2000-whatever, and instead of accomplished artists on TV, we have accomplished losers- repulsive morbidly obese fat fucks that can't get out of bed so they lie in their twinkie-shit, narcissistic housewife bitches of hollywood, and endless pointless shit about "how it's made" and all the bullshit CSPAN cocksuckers.

  • WOW.... only Liberace could play the piano with that kind of style and make it look so easy.

  • YEAH!!! 12th Street Rag!!! 5*****

  • It´s true the piano shakes at 1:20 jajaja

  • yes can't you see it move but when you play rags and fast songs it happens alot.

  • If wou visit Las Vegas, go to his Museum and see his London Taxi. Great character and pianist.

  • at like 1:20, the piano is shaking

    haha

  • I noticed that too. It's like the piano is trying to take off dancing. Who could blame it?

  • would love to have the sheet music for this version!!

  • this is off

  • this is being played in Double time. Liberace is Never off.

  • off the chain?

    yes, yes it is!

  • hey the end was sounge bob and it wasnt invented back then! also look up 12th street rag rod miller and he has the same ending!

  • I remember seeing his show when i was a little girl and my father making remarks about him i couldnt understand. We all like dhis piano playing .But when i got older i found out my father was trying to say Liberace was gay.

  • 5 stars! What else can I say. He is the incomperable Liberace.

  • Best 12th street rag arrangement I've ever heard!

  • 1:15 - it alway always makes me smile! How does he do that??

  • He's just playing quater notes super, mega, ultra, extreme, intense, critical, ludacris fast. :>

  • Sorry I meant quarter not quater :P

  • UNREAL!

  • I look like Librace

  • hahah

  • Forget Art Tatum, i wish i had a suit like that! :P

  • god was he one for being flashy. But man could he play that piano.

  • buenisimo, exelente

  • I love Liberace! I watched him on TV as a child with my grandmother! My own granddaughter is now a fan, thanks to all the CD's and VHS's available. I even took her to his museum in Las Vegas! She loved it, and is probably the only 10 year old that understands the need for a "left handed driver!" I love your clips and I hope you send more!!!

  • the virgle fox of the piano. both are truly amaising players, go look up Virgel Fox and watch his organ videos!

  • how wd he compare to art tatum ? for dexterity , precision , speed ! ! ! ., not that speed is all in all

  • Interesting. Tatum was blind - but he learned to use both hands with equal speed and accuracy. But Liberace's left hand here is ridiculously fast! Tatum was popular among classical composers at the time too. Liberace could probably have been a brilliant classical composer, but he saw how much money there was in vegas!

  • thanks for that

  • Oh, also, Tatum (as a child) would learn piano music from the old 'punched hole' piano-player music, but he didnt realize he was learning DUET music, so he was essentially learning piano music for 4 hands! So he quickly developed abilities, while still as child, that many performers NEVER develop.

Also, its often said that Tatums best performances were after-hours for his friends and private viewers.

  • No shit man. He smokes!!!!!!!!

  • i think the piano started smoking, lol, peace.

  • I Sure Wish I Had One Of Liberace's Pianos.

  • i wish i could have seen him play his piano!

  • Like The One He Is Playing Now?

  • you bet!

  • This guy could play...
