I liked the effect of the shell, but the burst wasn't overwhelmingly big. Still, it looked nice. The cake you shot with it, on the other hand, ROCKED. Who made those? We used to get an all crossette 6" assortment, I believe they were Kellner's. Nice crossettes! Like this shell, though, they weren't over powered. I wonder if it's just a crossette thing- a milder burst charge to protect the inserts? FWIW, I cant recall seeing ANY huge breaking crossette shells.

@3400David 3" are relatively cheaper than what can be purchased on the consumer side.. You buy things by the case, so you won't find many prices PER shell, but they can range anywhere for 3" from $1-5 per shell depending on the quality and maker.. the bigger are more expensive obviously.. The biggest expense will be shipping.
