  • Sorry that most of you were not part of this time, but i still go clubbing now and its just not the same, house music is just so whack nowadays, slicked back hair waiting in line to party,no guns and bullshit, with your polka dot shirt and baggy jeans with pattern design sewn in between the side of your jeans priceless,Gay blacks started the house movement, appreciate it,Thumbs way up if u were part of this golden era.

  • @lionstrong101 It's not egocentric at all. I even said that when I first started going to parties, it was already played out in some areas. Culture and society has changed a lot in the past decade or two, although it's not immediately recognizable on an aesthetic level in some cases. These days parties are for people that just want to take a bunch of drugs or curious gawkers that wanna see what all the fuss is about. The purity is long since gone, as well as the magic. Snoooze.

  • @VincentsVideoVisions Yep, all true!

  • @lionstrong101 It really isn't. I guess the magic is there if you're young and it's all new to you and don't know what it used to be like. Parties just aren't the same as they used to be. Most of the "ravers" these days are just repeating what they've seen from previous generations of partiers who went first. There isn't anything new going on. I went to my first rave in 1995 and by then they were already played out in some areas. I don't even go out anymore, doesn't compare to back in the day.

  • For the people who remember real mdma.. That was our time.. Cherish the fact u where even there. xx

  • you can just see the party really happening when listening to this track...

  • You guys make me feel old ass fuck! :) I graduated High School in '89. Some of you were born in '89. Fucking ey, if I could go back just for one day man... one day, that's all I need. And to the younger crowd, if you landed here it's because you appreciate good music and that says a lot. I hope one day you get to experience what we older cats did in the late 80's early 90's.

  • OH-MY-GOD! Completely forgot this gem. . . .I haven't forgotten

THE DUST HOUSE. . . .SOMEWHERE IN EAST LONDON (November '89)

  • @samcorej - where you around during 88-90? yes it was pioneering, and created a unique vibe. House music has gone down hill because its all been done before! i should know, I was there when acid house hit the UK. BY 92 alot of tune were just remixed samples of the old classics like this.........so......yes, House is crap now. Drum n Bass is the only underground scene that has lasted the test of time.

  • Still. Fucking. Awesome.

  • @diskochimp ,different class my freind,,whack this bad boy in with black riot, todd terry, then go proper old school!!!!!

  • @richardjosephwhite Now that;s classic old skool...todd terry should have gotten more credit than he has..Tracks like a day in a life and bango was how it all started.

  • Then he became a Junglist.

  • Very much old school, this made my day really...

Thanks for sharing it with us here !!!

  • yea,,great track,member the rainbow e.p?

  • those were the sleepless days

  • O'the shapes that use to be thrown out to this on a puple ohm =/ =\ =| =)

  • Remember just used to stand by the speaker listening to the steady thumpin' bass, hell this was the track we'd use to check and test if a sound system could give us what we needed

  • what's can I say..." I ove you"

  • love this tune of its time quality

  • OOOOOOHHHH. I love this soooo munch I....

  • love cruising in my 1986 5.0 capri rs. with this tune.

  • Now were talking guys RESPECT to the old true skool.....

  • BIG YES from US ..

  • Fuckin' foot stomping, bang at it, havin' it tune!!

  • Jesus tonight!! I've not heard this for years and years. It takes me back to "Bliss" in Leicester circa 1990!!!! And of course sampled by me in a Place Called Bliss...Oops. Well, we were allowed to do that back then weren't we??? ;-)

  • @rhythmontheloose I remember Bliss in Leicester very well!!. Testone by Sweet Exorcist was also a big tune. I also remember it was midweek and having to get up for work the following morning.

  • zephius-get your ears checked!!!or even better throw yourself in a canal!!!!!!

  • Tune.... Played massively on Green apple FM, Slough back in the day.... Good times... Yikes @ the Centre, Slough too.... :-) Aaah the memories... Kids these days dun know

  • 1989 mississauga every weekend there was a rave to these tunes. melodies, great times. love to go back in time for a month of partys.

  • wednesday nites at the house of where it was said

  • SHEFFIELD!....nuff said....

  • i didn't realise NOW had done stuff like this. thanks for upload.

  • 1989 in da house...illegal raves...this is where it was all about...went down hill from here really....the chosen few were selected to be part of this underground scene, and im proud to say I WAS THERE.....

  • I wish I was there too , but FUCK,I was born in 1989 ^^ I know what's Illegal raves are today, and I always meet people who speaks me about "old good times" as they say ... My conclusion is rthat I was born too late (reFuck) ;(

World today , it's just an addition of crisis, from money to music ... Peace and cheers to good music :)

  • @jemagidecd an addition of crisis, from money to music well said...the deciples of disaster...don't heed

  • @jemagidecd "an addition of crisis"...couldn't have said it better...that seems to be the zeitgeist...just listen to dubstep, much as I like it...

  • @jemagidecd

Don't worry buddy, just book a flight to Berlin, go to Panorama Bar, Wilde Renate, Watergate, Cocktail L'amour, or Bar 25, and you will get the real deal, I can't believe it... I am from Sydney, lived now Berlin for past 4 years, and the quality of House Music here is the toppest of noches... There are a hundred awesome venue's in the city, Tonnes of people who ACTUALLY know and appreciate the Music, The motherf$?king drinks and entry cost's are F#%K ALL etc... etc...

  • there is still good music and vibes today...

  • @valleysofneptune ur not the only one bruv...was 19 and fukin full of it i was.....lets 'ave it!!

  • I confirm, back in time it was realy like you say, the only way to hear that kind of special underground tracks was to get in those underground nights and of course not everone was able get in there. Yup i remember that time and i remember the deep vibe in those nights. PPL was there to dance, no body was there to "show off" or to play stupid games. PPL WAS THERE FOR THE MUSIC. Today they pop 3 or 4 pills in a rave and they actually dont care about the tracks as long as they can hear a beat.....

  • @valleysofneptune

To be fair, everyone says 'it went downhill' after their particular era.

Personally, if house music went downhill from here it would have died long ago. The only excuse for tracks like this is that they were pioneering. Take away the nostalgia and this music is pretty awful by todays standards.

  • @valleysofneptune "went down hill from there really" jeeez I'm glad I didn't drop any pills with you, what a downer. And we weren't the "selected few" we were just lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Yes it was good back then, but it grew and got bigger and better and today, you're not missing anything 'cos we're still keeping it alive. Peace.

  • it needs a stanton remix.. would be good!

  • leeds this got leeds on the map ,... aka lennyboy

  • Got this on white label, fuckin tune

  • QUAAAACK QUACK!

  • One word or two?

    Warehouse or Ware House!

    :)

  • One i think...... :P

  • @bestyleeds Comes from the name of the original house music club, The Warehouse, in Chicago, which was where Frankie Knuckles really started the house sound.

  • @bestyleeds its one word, but who cares! we all get you ;]

  • @bestyleeds reminds me of the good old house battles at 23hop in T.DOT back in the days

  • @bestyleeds one

  • @bestyleeds It was one ... pronounciation waaare ouse :) Was there as it moved from Goth stuff to EASE, LFO and co

  • @bestyleeds

nice back then 2 and you know the score !! at their prime bruv :)

  • big bad steel city sound, yorkshire bass ha ha

  • remember this thumping house tune from talk of the town night club zimbabwe bulawayo africa>>>.>>>>>>>>>..

  • not too keen on that tune...

  • And your reason for making that statement.......?

  • just stating my opinion. it sounds too much like house/techno for me. dont get me wrong, i FACKIN LOVE nightmares on wax, i just dont like this song. songs like 195lbs, hear in colour, the sweetest and damn are the shit.
