Look at other performances of Incubus playing live, and they sound nothing like this. The bassist and drummer are good, but the guitarist consistently plays the wrong chords and the singer doesn't know how to use a mic.

Mike's main instrument was a Fender Jazzmaster Reissue sporting a Custom Shop neck and Seymour Duncan JM-2 pickups. A normal Jazzmaster neck runs a 7 ¼ radius, very round and meant primarily for rhythm playing. Because Einziger was shifting between rhythm and lead, the neck was replaced with a 12 radius.

He has a custom made neck :P pretty nice

I think maybe also because of his carpal tunnel syndrome? I have no idea. I think shifting to a 12 radius neck makes it play like a strat. A strat play's way lighter that a Jazzmaster. I can tell because I have both a strat and jazzmaster.

So the only reason i can think of why he's replaced the neck is because it plays lighter, better for soloing stuff, and maybe because of his carpal tunnel syndrome.. however the carpel tunnel syndrome isn't in the picture anymore :)
