@uilium I don't know about Hendrix / finger tapping but I know in the East they have guitar like instruments ( Baglama / Saz family) and have been 'tapping' for a 1000 years. Come to think of it, I didn't know Hendrix did tap? If he did it probably wasn't to a high or noticable level though..
@ELGROOVER Im not the biggest fan for prog music, and Ive never heard of this band before, but damn the three songs ive heard so far dont disappoint. Thanks for introducing me to this band.
@triplettam I was just a little Baby but I can still remember the songs or styles of songs. I haven't heard this one but I remember the style. I don't know maybe I heard It before and dont even know it.
@uilium I was very young--11-12--so I didn't have the 'Vietnam experience." But this song can make me think of it . . . it's visceral, elemantal. It sounds like war. It sounds like a Napalm attack. I mean that in a good way : ).
what an album!!!!...every track is a gem!...probably the best album hidden from public consciousness.....its so well craftedmusically with a powerful production!...that guitar screams at you!...had it on my piss-poor turntable for a year....think its worn out now!
How did Tony get those wonderfully warm guitar sounds? Stratocaster through a Hiwatt with a sensitive ear and a sensitive touch? That was probably all he needed.
If anyone knows where there are tabs to the solo, please tell me. love it. I read something how these guys were knockoffs of cream. I like the groundhogs more personally
not sure what knock off from cream means... tony mcphee my favorie guitarist and i urge anyone learning to study the man. groundhogs astounding and original.

I like that crazy groove they keep going into. I hear good finger tapping, Hendrix invented that , am I wrong?
