Everyone has their reasons but maybe some of them think writers are above critisism?

Craig makes those jokes funny, not the jokes 'emselves.

I like it how he now only has to hint at the jokes and his regular audiences get the joke. He doesn't even have to say the jokes anymore. Like him pointing to the "Hollywood Boulevard" when he wanted to say a joke about "well maintained dykes", and the audience just started laughing. Such regular jokes make the show very funny.
