  • you had trouble getting it out? Crap. I'm terrified how stubborn mine are. Looking for a hydraulic press cheap for the job if not ill have to pay the stealership...Such a pain to do without one never again

  • @mikey0himself I sure did, You might see how much it would cost to take the drive line to a shop and have them press it out, and put the new one in. It would probably be cheaper than buying a press, unless you needed an excuse to buy one :) Harbor Freight usually has decent prices on tools like that.

  • @CodeRed1701 I could shift from Drive to reverse and it started making a clunking sound. I chocked the wheels and put it in neutral, got under it and that's when I took this video. It shouldn't matter where you check, as long as you are able to wiggle the drive shaft back and fourth. I had to use a torch and press to get the old joint out, it sucked.

  • Man thats pretty bad. I have this clunking going on when I push on the gas and when I make a complete stop. A buddy of mine mentioned that it was the u joint. I went to take a look and try and jiggle it on my truck, but it seemed pretty solid to me. But then again I just tried the side where the diff is. Should that matter?

  • @CodeRed1701 try checking it with the transmission is in nutral so the the tension is off of it and press the e brake in.

  • @CodeRed1701 neutral sorry

  • That's really bad for an 05... don't worry I won't make of you having a toyota, or driving rice, I drive a van.

  • Thanks I think I know what matter with mt car
