By listening to Coreys voice, and how he places it in the songs, anyone who knows well Slipknot and Stone Stour, can tell the difference. The way he puts his voice in Stone Sour songs is totally different of Slipknot songs. And that's one of the reasons that makes Corey Taylor one of the best singers in the modern age of rock/metal

this is Corey Taylor's other band Stone Sour, the more calm and less heavy one. Even slipknot isn't anywhere close to being death metal.

But those of us who vaguely know Stone Sour as the mellow rock band with deep instrumentals and smooth somewhat moody vocals, and Slipknot as the crazy assholes who play shit resembling a harmonic train wreck, this song blurs the boundaries a little bit. In fact, if I could just swap this song with Snuff, everything would make perfect sense again.

@superherobyday You dont have to be die hard fan to hear the difference between them, if you've listened to any songs from the first two albums, this song is more reminiscent of earlier writings, they've never been a mellow rock band, they've had mellow songs....but not as a band. Plus no offence you were just asking for people to reply by putting that statement in. If that was your goal, then congrats, "successful troll is successful"

By listening to Coreys voice, and how he places it in the songs, anyone who knows well Slipknot and Stone Stour, can tell the difference. The way he puts his voice in Stone Sour songs is totally different of Slipknot songs. And that's one of the reasons that makes Corey Taylor one of the best singers in the modern age of rock/metal

Its amusing how some newer Stone Sour fans think that this is a new different step trying to be Slipknot but they forget that Stone Sour has released many ripping songs including Get Inside, Tumult, 30-30/150, Hell & Consequences and who could forget, Blotter. There is a lot more to come out of this band than that Say You'll Haunt Me bullshit.

@jerret53 No, Stone Sour was around before Slipknot was. Corey didn't growl really until Slipknot but he did have a yell and the music style was the same. Slipknot's guitar would be more distorted than this anyways.
