  • still my favourite theme from doctor who, and after seeing series 6 understanding how the theme fits in about the silence makes it powerful.

  • I love this episode and the song is so beautiful :)

  • She went to my primary school a long time ago the school is in Wales and it is called alderman Davis school or the full name alderman Davis church in Wales primary school if you want to know more send my a question to my account

  • sooo awesome....!!!!

  • D: :C ;-; ;o; ;O;

  • I like the strings/flutes referencing Carol of the Bells (eg around 2:15)...

  • A beautiful song.

  • Does anyone else get Christina Aguilera when they look at her?

  • this episode was a neat idea, playing off that story in a new way i enjoyed it heaps :)

  • Love love love it!

  • what a beautiful song while i really wasn't impressed with last years special ( i've watched it twice and just can't get into it to be honest) this song was so heart-breakingly beautiful. i am most definitely buying this song on iTunes soon.

  • She has an amazing voice and is very pretty thumbs up if you agree

  • Everytime I hear this,I imagine Matt laying on the floor of the Tardis regenerating alone :( Not that I want to see Matt go because I think he's brilliant.Regenerating after a massive battle where the silence are all killed and telling his latest companion(Skip Perkins) that its time for a change.Something like that....Skip Perkins?????Just came to me :)

  • Beautiful song sung by a VERY beautiful woman.Love to hear thi whenever Matt decides to leave and regenerates into someone else. The whole silence thing is brilliant.

  • @richpartist This. The Silence has sort of defined his tenure as the Doctor. And despite having Amy and Rory along on his adventures, he has -- and he has always been -- alone.

  • I must admit I cried a little when I first heard this. As I did many years before when Rose had to leave the Doctor and her music was playing. My Mum loved this tune too, but she died in May and will not be here for this Chrismas, I just know I will cry again.

  • @andysim232 i hope she will rest in pece

  • Amazing Voice :-) x

  • Amazing voice and such a haunting song... I can hardly hear it enough.

  • This and Song of Freedom. Dr. Who has some of the most beautiful, moving music I've ever heard.

  • Beautiful song from a beautiful episode. i'll watch A Christmas Carol every Christmas. And on New Years. And on Halloween.

  • Best song Ever THUMPS UP

  • brilliant song thanks for posting it

  • Stunning yet again from Katherine.

  • Silence will fall........................?

  • Quite mesmerising

  • I love this song, so very clever. On the one hand it works as great metaphor for loneliness and companionship, great Christmas Carol material. On the other hand it is classic foreshadowing in that wonderful subtle style which has become signature with the eleventh Doctor (compared to the brick-to-the-face we have sometimes had before). And It sounds absolutely beautiful! *faves and hits repeat*

  • Beautiful!

  • i just spammed the repeat button soooo much!

  • chilling.epic.amazing.BEAUTIFUL

  • I'd also love to have her singing "In the Bleak Midwinter" from the same episode. Anyone know where to get that? I don't see it on the soundtrack (which for some reason you can only get from Amazon.co.uk mp3's).

  • @grotepas On the platinum edition of her album `Believe ` its magic.

  • @grotepas I am sure you can get it from Amazon.

  • @12harby Thanks!

  • A beautiful song, beautifully sung by Katherine Jenkins. And an amazing Christmas special.

  • songs like these remind me of what was once real in my life, how everything was perfect and her voice flew softly through my ears, it's songs like these that remind me of why being alone in this world, is a pain above all suffering, and this pain has no mercy... neither does she, so i sing out what my mind gazes upon, i sing loud and clear, i will show you i've changed, i will prove myself to you.... just open your heart and let me grow, let me show you a place where music is all we know... :/ x

  • I really love this song!!!

  • makes me melt, love her voice so beautiful and the song is so powerful. Best of all its in Doctor who Topsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

  • Uh, does anyone else feel paranoid after listening to this? XD I understand now. It's about The Silence! Beautiful song.

  • It's not fair that she's so talented and so pretty. Well as a very old friend of Kazran Sardick's took a very long time to explain...life isn't fair.

  • "shwing", She's gorgeous, and so is the song.....

  • Truly a most beautiful and haunting song and voice. A sad quality that touches the heart beyond measure. WHAT an episode...what a show! Doctor Who is amazing! This gives me goose bumps.

  • love this song!!!

  • I am very very thick. I just rewatched the christmas episode and listened to Abigails song properly and everything hit me like a ton of bricks with the mention of Silence/Silents.

    Someone, please, slap me!!!

  • @zanutter *slaps*

  • @zanutter *slaps*

    You're welcome.

  • @Pythosblaze Thanks, needed that!

  • @zanutter ok slap

  • beautiful woman and a beautiful song

  • @MrRichardbarnes89 The worlds top crossover star ,female of course

  • @MrRichardbarnes89 The worlds no female crossover singer bar none .

  • I love this song.......

  • I hope in the series finale they use this for background music at an epic moment, it will certainly empahsise it.

  • How did you get this?! Awesome thanks :)

  • I've just realised ... It's about Silence. xD Reckon that was done on purpose?

  • @doctorwho11 Well Moffat did write the lyrics

  • @krazygrl890 Really? Where did you hear that?

  • @doctorwho11 He helped Murray.

  • @krazygrl890 Cool, I didn't know that. That's my learning done for the day... xD

  • @doctorwho11 it was done on purpose lol... have u seen any of the new season yet?? its awesome!

  • @doctorwho11 Duh. The Moff does love his foreshadowing.

  • @doctorwho11 its not about THE silence its about lonelyness and what not, and its the silence when theres nobody there to talk too and what not :D well thats my view on it :)

  • @harkn33ss What? Have you been watching the same show as the rest of us?

  • @doctorwho11 -_- no shit sherlock.

  • @doctorwho11 yes

  • @doctorwho11 i realised that when it was shown on xmas day, it is rumoured 2 b written by steven moffat on purpose. and the lyrics make sense - when alone, you see/know the silence, then when you are interrupted etc. you forget.

  • @doctorwho11 who knows?

  • @doctorwho11 i literally just asked my husband the same thing...

  • Beautiful song(':
