come on man, i am 17 and when i have kids i'll teach them how to listen real music!
if they come with a jonas brothers' thing(or pop shit for the moment) i'll kick out them of my house! lol not really but that probably would piss me off so bad.
@krhodesnyj I disagree, Revolver is the best Beatles album in my opinion. If this album had Penny Lane in place of Fixing A Hole and Strawberry Fields Forever in place of Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite! then I would think it was the best. But, it doesn't.
I thank God every day that I grew up to listen too, grow to love all the fabulous songs that were created in the 60's, 70,s, 80's, 90's and OMG!!!!! It's still going strong!!!
@spepper dudee all people say that the beatles start modern rock..... haha chuck berry elviss dude whatss up with that the beatless is like a now a days justin beiber
without the beatles, music wouldn't be what it is today. while they might not have started rock, the innovation and versatility in their music over the 10 year span is what made them the greatest of all time. they went from a panty dropping boy band to psychefuckindelic funktabolous music and did it with perfection. that's why they are the greatest.
@d5ta2 How could you be so wrong? The beatles took everything that was great about contempory music, added a million times more to it, infused the best bits of almost every genre ( folk, funk, jazz, rock, rock and roll, you name it). Don't forget that by 1965 the beatles were already the greatest ever, with the subsequent albums, they took away all the genericism of every genre and made it all so much more eclectic and enjoyable...Music could never be so diverse and high quality wihout them...
@greenbankFUN Yes, everything you write is true. When I was a little boy (I'm lucky to have a great memory ), just 4 years old and we had lots of Beatles records in our house. My oldest brother bought 'Penny Lane / SFF' when it was released and I wanted the single 'All you need is love' which I got from my parents. My brother got 'Pepper' for his 15th birthday in October 1967 and I have loved the album more than any other since. The band INVENTED 'Rock Music' really along with Dylan
OMG,the memories this all brings back,i must have been 7 yrs old,and me and my friends singing "lucy in the sky",in the playground.Thanku The Beatles, for making my childhood so wonderful,(the 1st song i ever heard was Hard days night)and thanx mum and dad for introducing me to the best band ever!
@streetphysician Listen, if the real paul is really dead, they replaced him with an amazing musician, even better than the one before. Seriously, does it even matter?
@alubadubdub If you were a Blue Meanie. ;) (Or, worse, a fan of ganster rap...I won't be so presumtuous to criticize a whole genre of music, I myself don't like rap but I suppose it can be artistic in its own way and really speak to some...but when the whole song is about beating up some woman or cracking heads? THAT kind of stuff needs to get lost in the Sea of Holes, and fast...quick, send for Fred! Ready the Yellow Submarine! Sgt. Pepper and his Lonely Hearts Club Band are needed!)
@moderjoker Seriously, there are many Indie bands nowadays that are bringing back the old sounds of Rock and even ones like The Black Keys and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros are having radio hits. Check out Dr. Dog, Grizzly Bear, Black Lips, and Belle & Sebastian for further proof. Rock & Roll will never die!
