But if your sense of humor was decent and fully developed, surely you would be able to appreciate the humor of (a) people walked around in silly ways, and (b) the idea of said silly walking having an entire ministry association.

People who don't think Monty python is funny make me sad...they were the driving force that which is considered sketch comedy today, because it lacks profanity or something obvious shouldn't make it any less funny.

I love all every bit of Monty python for that very reason because it doesn't need profanity or stupid things to make it laugh out loud hilarious.

Just wish people these days weren't so stupid that we had to dumb down comedy to what it is today... :(

What a loss it would have been to humanity if John Cleese had become a barrister (he studied law at Cambridge)...and frankly, I shudder to think what might have happened if his fellow Python Graham Chapman had actually become a doctor (even though they do say laughter is the best medicine)!

Different Python sketches hit different people in different ways.

Knew a fellow who was quite serious and matter-of-fact all the time.

But when he saw the 'Dead Norwegian Blue Parrot' skit for the first time - he collapsed with laughter. We almost needed a stretcher to get him out of the theater.
