Awesome pick ups John! Those Umbrella $5 titles are quite a score. Body Melt is such a shit film but with moments of brilliance. I love the scene where the dude gets hit by a car and goes through the windscreen. Geez saw Monkey Shines on VHS back in the day. Good film from memory. Those weird little classification ratings also appeared on The Beyond and Blue Sunshine. Haven't Seen that Brain Dead, but seen it as a fiver at Top End.
@AussieRoadshow Finally saw body melt, it was so over the top but i could appreciate it .now all i need to see is the directors other movie saliva, salt sweat and sperm (which is impossible to find). I like the smaller classifications, reminds me of old vhs art. Brain dead was actually great, very suspensful.
@whatblah43 Turkey shoot i have never seen, I'm kind of kicking myself cause a copy of it was sitting at parklea for $5, ah i'm a tight ass this isnt the first time something like thats happened.
@lastalot Yeh i very rarely go, there is a lot of crap there. I mainly went straight to the dvd section and got out. Monkey shines I thought was ok, pretty suspenseful flick. Body melt was amazing, I can't believe i havent seen it until now. I am still yet to see combustion but i'll let you know how it was. thanks mate for the comment
Spontaneous Combustion wasn't very good but Hooper's done much worse. I do recommend Monkey Shines and Brain Dead wasn't too bad (can't go wrong with Roger Corman).
