  • does this make the internal speaker any louder?

  • @cavemano123 No, I find it makes the internal speaker quieter additionally for some mods it renders the speaker useless. However when connected to an amplifier or recording equipment it sounds better; louder and with more bass.

  • how did you get four channels on a gameboy color?

  • @Caleb5617 It's LSDJ, it has four channels anyway, you simply plug it into a gameboy colour and it continues to have four channels.

  • You require more BREAK

  • the end of the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • comprate un game boy putooo !!

  • @00zark que?

  • ummm does anyone know of a tutorial on how to prosound a gbc because i've been using the lsdj a while and my gameboy buzzes soo much it's rilly pissing me off

  • Just google it :P

There are a few tutorials out there, it is as simple as re-wiring from the volume potentiometer straight to the output.

  • ok cheers... lets hope i get it right lol

  • wats the point of it

  • canhazcheeseburger?

    i like it.

    especially the color :3

    yellow is good, yes?

  • Chiptunes FTW

  • congrats man

  • coo

  • hey, i'm looking to do the same and just reading through the comments on this vid has been a huge help.

    so thanks!

  • ahhh thats so sick.

I really want to do that to my gameboy.

    How did you get LSDJ?

I've been wanting to make this music for months now.

  • ebay! Dont get ripped off like i did though :P, if you can only find expensive cartridges on ebay go to a website called 8bitcollective and look for lsdj carts for sale in the forum, they will be cheaper there!

also you can buy the rom for just $2 from the lsdj website :)

  • Ooo. Thank you so much :)

    Whats an LSDJ cart exactly?

Does that mean i'd just use it on the computer,

Or would I be able to put it on my gameboy?

  • LSDJ comes in two forms, in rom form which is just the program that can be used on a computer with a gameboy emulator or on a Flash Cartridge which is a gameboy cart you can put your own game rom's on to, people put lsdj on these carts and that's an lsdj cart :)

  • oh and I should add; the lsdj carts are unstable, one day they will die! mine recently gave out :( but I had been smart enough to record what songs I had finished, it's crap that I lost the unfinished songs but it is possible to back up your lsdj cart but look for info on that on the 8bitcollective forum, I couldn't fit it all in a comment XD

  • Thanks a lot :) I've been wanting to do this for months, but I doubt I'll even be able to mod my gameboy lol. so hopefully i can someday. I'm looking to by the actual cartridge though...I've checked ebay, but all i see is the Prosound gameboy FOR lsdj. so im like kfj;dsakfsd.

  • 8 bit collective forums is the place to try then :) theres allways some lsdj carts for sale on there! You dont NEED to mod your gameboy but with the old grey brick ones and the gameboy colour, the sound is much imporved!

P.S. if you really want a sound-modded gameboy, but can't find one I could allways sell one you of mine :)

  • really? that'd be so awesome :) how much would it cost, since I'm in the states lol. I saw some on ebay and i was like :o cause it was a lot haha. but yeah that'd be so cool!

  • I tested sound render between the game boy classic (1st one) and a GB color. Differencies are amazing and the old one wins easily !

But I prefer to use a GBC (more confortable hand held, better screen etc...)

So I'd like to know if a GBC prosound moded sounds really like the old GB (huge basses etc...)

    Thanks !

  • they both sound pretty different, modded or not, however the GBC is much improved with a prosound mod but still is not as good as a big grey brick gameboy :) if you google "gameboy sound comparison" the first site you get shows you waveforms and some more differences between the gameboy's sounds :)

  • You can do as I do:

    - Make your songs with the gbc, wich as u said, its smaller and more confortable.

    - Use the grey brick to render it or for live gigs.

And that's it, I want to backlight my grey brick but my very poor hardware-modding skills I don't want to srew it up lol.

  • i'm looking to mod my gameboy color aswell, mind telling me how?

  • I couldn't fit everything I need to tell you into a youtube comment so do what I did; I used a tutorial I found on-line, just google for it :) search "gameboy colour pro sound mod" you should find how to do it fast :)

  • thanks so much for pointing me in the correct direction!

  • no problem :)

  • i am just about to do this mod

  • Good luck ;)
