im glad my grandma got me into tejano working the la villita dance hall alice, tx. i got to go to dances during the 90's when tejano was huge. at least in my opinion. saw the hometown boys, jaime y los chamacos, mazz, ruben naranjo, los palominos, and many others. as long as we keep listening to this tejano music will never die. sometimes i wish i could just go back to those days of bbq fajitas, chicken ,sausage, ribs, tripas, mollejas, with one crazy tio throwing beer on the meat. lol

Rodeo on 45.. there are lots of clubs around here that still play tejano.. just ask around... i've been out of the club seen for a bit but i still hear about groups coming to Escapade too

@dederammi man i go to hallabaloos, beas island, rodeo (sometimes) and bamboo lounge. All have tejano every weekend. Ive never been to a tejano club in san antonio to compare, but those clubs bring in everyone. Mazz. chamacos, hometown boys, shelly lares, and new/smaller conjunto bands. check them out on here. they have videos posted.

it sucks because you have to know someone who knows or have to search online. That was my problem when i first moved to houston.

There's only one club that plays Tejano but only on Fridays. Its called El Bocadito its on 8445 Gulf Freeway, Houston, TX 77017 Go Tejano Presents Throwback Fridays check out it sometime.
