Buy her stuff if you are on the fence. It is worth it, and not 300 dollars. I have a hyperion and want to get this one soon enough. These things are crazy with all the weird sounds they can pull.
Just wondering... Does this pedal keep low-end intact? For example, would my J Mascis Jazzmaster on the Neck PUP or Rythm section be a deep bassy torn speaker textured masterpiece or does the torn speaker sound always sound like tearing a thin sheet of paper?
Question: Since this is the left side of the Shoegazer, can I get the same tone that you got from the first riff you played for the Shoegazer demo with this pedal as well? I want that fuzzy type tone with that great amount of low end.
Sounds like a "flea circus" playing with kazoos loaded with Dimarizio distortion pickups through a fuzz face amplified through an AM radio under power wires in a trash can....wow...could you visualize that combo....i couldn't until now...i think i threw up in my mouth alittle right then.....hahaha
Man, I really want this pedal... I feel like I can get close to this though, with my Vexter Fuzz Factory... I love the original idea of an old vintage "messed up amp" idea though.
@lasfinisimas - In that case the Torn's Peaker is probably more up your alley. It's a little more old school, a little less disaster...Thanks for watching!
I'm getting one. If you don't like the sound of your speakers breaking you've haven't opened up your amp enough (or just have a lot of headroom in your speakers). Since I don't want to pay for a new set of eminence speakers every time my 40W amp busts my lower wattage speakers... I think I'll go with the one time $100 price tag for this super compressed fuzz/Torn Speaker emulator.
GREAT demo, thanks for showing all the drastic tones this box can produce.

If you aren't interested in Devi Ever pedals, then why watch a demo of a Devi Ever pedal, and subsequently interject your opinion? It's obviously invaluable and biased.
Im not a fan of all of the spatty, farty sounding fuzzes that PGS has demoed lately. THey all sound the same and they all sound like garbage. I have a massive pedal board I use on a daily basis and I love to have one of everything but I have no use for any of these sounds.
in case you haven't noticed, every germanium fuzz sounds the same, so does every silicon. At least they do while the controls are kept within a "standard" setting. Devi works outside the norm. There are hundreds of boutique fuzz's out there right now. she found her niche.
@libertyfalls I can't understabd why people thumbed down you comment. I think the exact same thing! What could I play with one of these overly gained fuzzboxes... Devi ever effects s""" they're made for indie rock probably... and i totally dislike that kind of music... I'd prefer a bluesy tone with a compressor and a low-gain od... it's just a matter of tastes... And don't you find that all jetter od's also all sounded the same?
P.S. Sry for my poor english. I hope you guys will understand
@libertyfalls, kebekoi66 It should be blatantly obvious that Devi Ever pedals are not targeted to players of your, ahem..."tastes". We have, however, made numerous other videos quite suitable for guitarists of your advanced age and social status.
I'm one of your biggest fans you guys, I also buy all of my pedals from your site so insulting me is bad business. Secondly, I find it in poor taste to judge someone for their opinion. I'm not insulting the pedals reputation and construction, I just don't like those type of pedals and find them to be one trick ponys. I also realize there is a million pedals out there and they all cant be awesome and to keep putting out demos of new stuff you have to demo some of the lesser pedals. No biggie
And you think it is in good taste to tell Andy/Co. that they shouldn't demo pedals you don't like? The commentary sections and ratings of the numerous Devi videos constitute my only thoughts on this matter.
If you feel that you absolutely must lodge your dissatisfaction with a product's design, it should be lodged with the designer. Devi's contact information is available on her webpage, though it's not like there are any lack of people telling her that her designs are shitty.
To clarify...The second half of my comment was addressing the fact that libertyfalls was whining to Andy/PGS about these pedals and their tone. You never complain about the person demoing unless they're doing a poor demo, which I think most us can agree is NOT the case with Andy/PGS.
We should point out that this is all in good fun. Jokes! It's just the internet after all... PGS loves you, we just like to do a little ribbing once in awhile. Good times!
Soooo funny. I love youtube comments. PGS you rock.
P.S. I'm in a melodic death metal band these days so I never use these kind of sounds, but I grew up listening to live Hendrix recordings and they have this exact sputtery quality - were they really torn speakers? So cool. Devi Ever did a great job emulating it. Its a sound close to my heart, being that those live Hendrix recordings inspired me to get my first guitar :D
They are all fuzzes. However, she takes every kind of fuzz and puts it in a box. They are all fuzz, but they are all different beast. Check out an Aenima and then check out a Electric Brown and then a Vintage Fuzz Master. You'll see
@fendermac Haha! I never noticed that! Thanks for sharing how goofy we sound sometimes. You should here one from Alabama say it vs one from upper Michigan.
Indeed, 3 months ago I found almost nothing about it and ordered a few anyway as they looked sweet ... and in the meanwhile it seems to have caught a lot of attention everywhere.
Well, it sounds like its name implies, heh heh. I'm surprised you're just now getting the Devi Ever pedals! It's surprising how good and different this thing sounds when you roll off on the volume knob... In my opinion, the chords sound better with the volume rolled off.
