  • nice

  • free end of line u have to keep on the hook side and just pull main line to tight knot and is done..much easier i use that knot on carp fishing and i never have problem with broken knot or line..for me is best knot and is just simple

  • looks like you got three hands

  • good knot but the modified clinch not is better it just has one more step but either the clinch knot or the modified clinch not is the best for mono or fluorocarbon line the palomar knot is the best for braided line

  • You gotta remember to wet the line with that lick licky

  • i think the palomar is easier to tie and its a crap load stronger than that... the "clinch knot" if i remember correctly

  • @bassnsnookfishin my bad, I did not specify that I am talking light tackle knots, and I'm sure palomar is good for that too, but I have no issues or difficulties with this so for light stuff never needed another knot so no need switching

  • palomar is the best knot.and its easy aswell

  • excellent ! thanks for that ..

  • does it matter if you cut the extra end not too short?

  • @mrhenk007 well I was always taught that the shorter the extra end is, the less chance there is to spook the fish. The idea being that the fish doesn't realize what its biting.

  • @ringo999999 how much would you recommend to leave on?

    And thanks for the reaction!

  • @mrhenk007 I try to minimize the length I leave extra, without cutting it so short that it could fail, so maybe just a little tiny end poking out a few mm

  • @mrhenk007 dont forget to moisten the line a bit to avoid friction like a licky licky lol

  • @mrhenk007 you are gay

  • @Astijus8 Well, I'm not ashamed of it, because we're gay together!

  • @mrhenk007 haha

  • shame u didnt wet the line first!!! any fisherman knows you must wet the knot before u pull tight

  • @guyzxs indoors making a tutorial so I did omit that part. But when you aren't standing right next to the lake or river its easy to forget :D

  • @ringo999999 thats why we have tongues bro :D spit on it

  • @guyzxs cool, thank you very much!

  • mate i got no interest in you or your stupid knot, but one thing i must say... you got an amazing lens on that cam... best ive ever seen on youtube, wow what model cam have you got please tell me the details.

  • @WestLndStreetBoxers Canon G12, thanks for the comments! Let me know if you have any other questions about the camera or anything.

  • Improved clinch knot ? o.O

  • yeah, twisting the hook is a bad habbit. once you learn how to twist it while holding all strans, it becomes more efficient. also there is an improved version of this knot

  • Good tips, but instead of twisting the hook, let it dangle and wrap the tag end of the line around the main line about a dozen times. The knot is more secure.

I myself have no faith in the clinch knot, it's lost me more than a few lures, so i moved to the polomar knot. Far stronger than the clinch and quicker to tie, too.

  • hahaha thank you!!! :)

    Now I don't need the man's help!

  • apart from palomar...san diego jam knot is the way to go.

  • Do you use leaders when you go fishing they help a lot.

  • @Jedhaase sometimes, but not when I don't need them

  • @ringo999999 oh, because I never see people use em,

  • @Jedhaase if I'm catching suckers and panfish then I wont, but catfish, northern, musky, walleye etc. all call for leaders

  • Thanks this helped alot

  • palomar knot is stronger and wayy easier then this

  • palomar knot is way easier and stronger then this knot.

  • @danelaraway01 there is a knot that is basically the same thing as the palamar that is stronger i recomend learning called the nanofil knot.

  • You can use this method even there's not enough light.

  • thank you thank you thank you !!!!! I GOING FISHING TOMORROW U SAVE MY BUTT

  • @alexcna1981 glad I could help, good luck fishing!

  • @alexcna1981 this knot is called the clinch knot but there is a stronger one called the nanofil knot i recomend learning

  • that is the easiest tie on hook :)

    LIKE that video!

  • @MrAmirCJ thanks for checking it out! Its my favorite hook knot!

  • I use this knot on every fishing trip I go, Quick and easy to do.

  • @arnelreyb67 agreed!

  • I use this knot all the time and I also never have to use a clasped swivel either... if you use lures and change them up often if you use this knot you simply pinch the knot with thumb and first finger use your thumbnail and pull knot away from lure or hook and it will release the knot and you will never have to cut your line to retie it... I would advise clip it off after 5-10 knots but it saves time when needed. Great video!! I don't think meany people use it and might like to...

  • i caught a 24 pound common on this once

  • @iLoveTheMaine101 were you giving a speech on how to do this? glad I could help!

  • i have one quastion: Is this works on swivel?

  • This is called a clinch knot.

  • @djporegon yup and it's one of the strongest mono knots... although by just tucking it through the loop you get after going through the bottom loop it becomes an improved clinch knot.

  • @djporegon I think the clinch has one more move...?? If you don't put the free end back into the last loop made its not considered the clinch? by not doing that it is still very strong I have never lost a fish because of knot loosening.. Also you can untie the knot with a simple pinch and retie another lure/hook. Its a great knot I use it at all times for mono or breaded

  • thanks so much !!!

  • So would a snell knot or this knot be better? It looks like a snell knot is more sturdier and isn't much harder at all

  • @FisherP01 good question, I've been using this one since i was a kid and haven't had any problems, however one never used the smell so I can't comment on it.

  • @ringo999999 Yeahh I always used the same knot as you should us, I was just curious thank you!

  • @FisherP01 thanks for visiting, hope ya catch some big ones

  • @FisherP01 Snell knot is stronger an provides a better hookset...This knot should hold for light duty applications better just to do the improved clinch if you going to go with this...

  • @jmaster5ful you still have to tie a knot for the swivel...

  • ORRR, JUST BUY HOOKS IN A PACK, AND A USE A SWIVEL SNAP!!! much easier!!!!

  • does anyone know how to tie a hook that has no hole in it? guess these hooks are specially made for USA folk...

  • Thank you, now I can finally tell my husband to fuck off.

I'm learning so much from you!

-How to do a ~sexy~ quadruple backflip from 235 feet.

-Grand Canyon water is beautiful and you can swim in it, but it's full of stong chemicals/mineral deposits.

-How to tie a better fish hook knot then my husband.

    FRIGGEN' SWEAT! THANKS! :)

  • what size hook is that?

  • ok i was taught to do that and today i had a huge bass and it came undone do a few granny knots at the end it helps a lot

  • shwingo!

  • FUCKING BRILLIANT! HOLY SHIT

  • if you take a lighter and slightly melt the line where you cut it off, it will work better so the fish wont get poked when he goes for the bait. you dont want to melt the line too much though, or the line will become week there and break.

  • the unie is way easier and is ten times stronger and how do you tie your leaders like that cause i use a haywire twist you seem like your making it way harder on your self then need be buddy

  • Palomar knot. One of the best knots around.

  • @ringo999999 about how many times do you recommend twisting

  • @pokenerffan Atleast 5 or 6 because you'll lose some when you tighten it, probably somewhere between 6 and 10 should do it

  • sun may 15 ........guitar fish, spotted crocker early morning at seal/long-beach jetty

remember to wet the line if its fluorocarbon before you pull both hook and line it keeps it from abrasion ..................

  • Sting Ray 10 inch May 14

  • Ringo... what are you supposed to do when a fish grabs ur bait? I've gone fishing a couple of times and the fish always comes off the line.. either breaks the line or comes off the hook?

  • @nazronerox you typically want to "set" the hook, meaning you pull back real hard and fast, lifting the tip of the rod up while keeping the butt steady in place. This puts the hook into their lip and should keep the fish on. You just have to set it at the right time.

  • 9 1/2 inch crocker today

  • Never thought of twisting the hook. I always wrap the line my self 6X then go threw the loop made on the bottom and back into the loop.

With this not in the past week I have caught crocker, spotted sea bass, halibut and shark.

    Oceanside Ca (Camp Pendleton)

    thanks for sharing

  • @echo1er *"not Knot

  • @echo1er We should keep a list on this video of fish caught with it since the vids been out. I got 2 lake sturgeon, 1 white sucker, 1 shorthead redhorse, and 1 river redhorse. I like to hear about the saltwater species too, nice work!

  • @echo1er what kind of shark?

  • @ringo999999 sandbar shark

  • very useful tip! the weather is just starting to get nice here, finally! ill be using this method from now on, thanks for the video!
