  • when i was a kid i always wanted to see the intro of this i will always clap when it come on the screen my mom would say . . .STOP CLAPING !!!! LMAO.

  • I must show this to my little brother to show how awesome I was to be a 7-year-old in the 90s.

  • I saw the 2010 Sony digital projection varrient before the previews for

"The Smurfs" in 3D. I got to see FirstLook 3D, too! But it took 3-4 minutes for First Look 3D to start!

  • Regal Cinemas - Policy Trailer (1998-2003)/Regal Cinemas (1998-2002)

  • I saw this today when I went to the movies. They played it twice.

  • @tahoejunkie133 LOL! ROFL! They played it before the trailers and the movie?

  • That's the one they ran when I worked there. I think you're missing the center channel audio. Directional seems to be coming through, but the mono center channel just doesn't sound there.

  • lol this reminds me of space mountain at disneyland :D

  • They just recently brought this back. I haven't been to a Regal Cinema in like 5 months, though, so I hope it's still there.

  • I saw the remake of this at that theater!!! xD They still have it!

  • @stargoboom1986 yep.

  • I love this intro. I am working at Regal and have been for the last 3 and half years and boy did I miss this opening

  • I remember the first time I saw this was when I was 6 years old and saw Disney's 102 Dalmatians. I've loved it since then. I;m glad that they just recently brought this policy trailer back, noticed when I saw Alpha & Omega, i quietly said to myself, "THANK YOU REGAL 4 bringing this trailer back!!"

  • I can remember seeing this before watching Toy Story 2 with a bunch of my friends in the theater. This came on, and we all put our hands up and pretended like we were riding the thing! And then some old lady yelled at us. Oh, nostalgia!

  • @redhawk797 Totally doing that the next time I see this at a theater.

  • I remember this! And by the way... GLaDOS is running the coaster!

  • I saw at Cats & Dogs in Royal Palm Beach 18 in 2001

  • I saw at Cats & Dogs in 2001

  • It seems Cinemas these days have a vendetta against Pepsi

  • @Kitsuneranger My local movie theater sells Pepsi

  • I saw for the movie A Bug's Life in 1998

  • I saw at Shrek in 2001

  • I saw from Cats and Dogs in 2001

  • This still shows at my theater!

  • @TheEpicWeezl; Actually the composer for the Roller Coaster animation was a guy by the name of Cal Scott. Your teacher may have composed something else for Regal though...

  • I was at a regal cinemas today to see legend of the guardians and this was shown (but instead of pepsi there was coke and green text instead of red text)

  • @makindsmanahome I also the one you speak of when I went to Wall Street Money Never Sleeps at The Edwards Cinema in Camarillo, CA!

  • Hey, I remember this!

  • the guy who made the music for this opening lives in coeur d' alene idaho. his name is barry aiken. i actually used to take piano lessons from him and when he told me he made the track for this i was pumped. i felt like i was in the presence of a celebrity . kinda haha

  • I LOVED THIS.

  • i wish there was a better verson of this or remake.

  • Oh, wow. I remember seeing this as a little kid at the theaters with my grandma. I'd put my hands up and move along with it and ask her to do the same. Thanks for posting!

  • haha i rember this...haha back in the day...

  • This I Seen in Major Cineplex Thailand in same Style!

  • @thongchat457 omg, they got this verson in thailand?

  • i remember this policy wen i saw titanic at the movie theater in 97

  • I wish they still used this, or at least made a new version of it or something. The 90s were awesome

  • They did make a newer version in 2002-03 when they officaly changed their name to Regal Entertianment. I have not seen one since 2005.

  • they still show this in my theater.

  • They don't show these anymore before a movie. This always gave me the hype and i always acted as if i was on a rollercoaster, haha! Thanks for the upload. How awkward, i'm going to go watch a movie later at regals, hopefully they show this.

  • Can somebody please upload a higher quality version of this? Yes, I like this video, but I feel like the quality could be improved on a bit.

  • "This is before they became Regal Entertainment Group, and still served Pepsi products."

So that's why they stopped using it.

  • Honest to God, would it kill them to create a new 'Feature Presentation' bumper?

Really, it's just not the same when they jump right from the last trailer to the movie.

  • I miss being able to drink Pepsi at a theatre. The only theatre in my town which still has a Pepsi fountain is a Drive-In 20 miles away.

  • Thank you so goddamn much for this, I've been looking for this forever.

  • I wish I could find the old Regal Cinemas policy trailer from the early 80's, it had awesome disco music. We use to get up and dance to it before the movie.

  • I can smell the popcorn and sticky arm rests. Mmm.

  • This shit is ballin! Probably saw this regal trailer 400 times when I was a kid, classic shit.

  • Hi! Is there anyway you could send me a download link for this video file? I'm doing a US History project and this would just be the icing on the cake!

    Thank You for your time!

  • when I was five I first saw this, and I was convinced it was the movie and as soon as it was over I clapped, stood up and walked out of the theater. My mom had to drag me back

  • yea what movie were u seein? I never saw a movie with this in the ad LOL

  • it was disney's Pocahontas. This was the intro to remind you to shut up and whatever. This was also like '96. lol

  • i know it was a joke

  • First time I saw this trailer in 1997, it was for the Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition.

  • (crappily imitating an auctioneer) Do I hear '97? Yes! '97, '97, anyone earlier than '97?

  • I remember this, used to think it was awesome for some reason when I was a kid, lol.

  • OMG i remember this

me n my friendsz alwaysz get n the theater early 2 "ride the ride"

    lol so fun

    so many memories

they need 2 bring this back

  • omg ya i agree new one has better effects but is a bit boring

  • yes!

    this 1 is more exciting

n they also put those dumb commercials after they say the movie is bout 2 start

  • Is there a better quality version of this?

  • @tmisch64 l0l

  • When did you first see this? Thumbs up to the guys who can say they've seen this before 1999!

  • It brings back memories. The first time I saw this logo was when I went to see Pokemon: The First Movie at West Town Stadium 9, which marked my first experience at a Regal theatre.

  • whoaaa...this one uses pepsi cups but if you browse through the other one's it's coke cups lols. I remember the coke one.

Good times. Now its just like--

"Shut your phones off and dont talk."

  • Omg <3

  • i love these things but their not there anymore :(

  • did they ever put this in a 3D format? because that popcorn would've caused some bad whiplash if they did hahahahaha

  • In Mexico, Cinepolis used this trailer

  • Lol, i just saw the newer version of this yesterday at Twilight.....

    "OMG POPCORN!!!! AHHHHHH!"

  • whats the song? is it the same one as you here on space mountain or is it diffrent.

  • It's awesome to see this again. I once saw this where they accidentally put in the clip upside down. So it played upside down and the music was backwards. Pretty crazy!

  • Nice.

And speaking of Pepsi, do any theaters still serve any Pepsi Products?

  • I don't know, but I'm glad Regal traded to Coke.

  • regal is all coke mannn lol. my regal work shirt has coke...

  • @MattCordellIsBack Muvico Theatres Mann Theatres Marcus Theatres and maybe a few others

  • Worked for Regal for years. Very nostalgic watching this.

  • this is why i chose regal cinemas over other theatres... such great memories... i miss the 90s

  • I miss this. We no longer have a regal. Carmike's is boring, I work there.

  • man this brings back a tun a memories...

  • they prolly canceled it because it gave people motion sickness

  • This was part of the reason I went to movies. They need to bring this back. If they don't serve Pepsi, just switch it with coke.

  • lol my theater doesnt use this anymore

  • i love regals ... its awesome i won a ds lire on that stack up machine ! =) a huge crowd surronded me it was wierd .

  • this + imax = SICK. but like cool sick. or also the normal type. I guess it depends on the person.

  • this this WOULD be awesome on IMAX. Too bad they dont show it anymore though

  • I heard that very few of the Regal theaters (UA and Edwards included) that don't use the annoying digital pre-show commercials still use the roller coaster on film. We should find those theaters and seek them out before Regal closes them!!

  • I loved this. This makes the new Regal trailers look like BS! Gateway 16, near that Best Buy and other cool stores...Aaah. Brings back the memories.

  • Man this brings memories!

  • thiss is ALSO when they still had 4 reese's cups, now they have 3 reeses cups for THREE dollars, RIDICULOUSSS. [i work there ;( ]

  • they still used this rollercoaster thing around 2003-04 when I worked there.

  • I work for regal and we STILL have the roller coaster. but it has changed a lot

  • Wow that popcorn scared the hell out of me. JK

  • I miss this opening. Now, they dont even do one. But I think this was more fun to watch when I was younger.

  • this brings back memories, thanks for posting

  • I love how the girls in the theater would always scream when the popcorn popped and the coaster went down the drop (at 0:43).

  • I miss this. It reminded me of Space Mountain in Disney World.

  • this is the REALLY old 1 when they still used pepsi products im sure every1 remembers the souvenir pepsi cups

  • YES!! I have like 50 of the souvenir cups in my closet. They are the ones from the "Star Wars Episode 1" series. I only have 3 different styles because the movie left before we moved on to the other characters in the cup series, HAHA.

  • They allowed you to trade in the Pepsi souvenir cups for Coke cups. Same discount refill.

  • why did they get rid of this! This was pure awesome

  • Lol, My theatre still plays it. Its a little different.. but only by like 1%

  • lol 1%

  • Wow, incredible how awesome of an intro this is, and so few theatres run it anymore... I remember people waving their arms in the air as if they were riding it, lol. (Like what TreadwellJay said)

  • Hey, Thanks for uploading this, I was planning to buy a few on 16mm & now I know how great it really is, This will look nice in front of my features!

  • Where can you get these on 16mm? Regal never ran 16mm commercially, only 35mm.

  • Checkout robbiesreels dot com I think he makes them himself from 35mm but I really don't know, It's under his trailers section. Also he has AMC theater trailers with clip "silence is golden" THX SDDS etc. I have bought from him & they are great quality. Haven't ordered this trailer yet though.

  • I just bought this one from him, and i am going to upload it onto yoube. Its the same one on this page, but in HD!

  • How is it HD ? Did you transfer it in HD or has youtube started letting people upload HD content? You got it on 16mm right ? Just wondering.

  • yeah, i got it on 16mm, i am transfering it in twice the quality of hd, and i am going to upload it in the highest quality posible on youtube. twice of the normal youtube resolution. and it will probably be in stereo.

  • How come it's blurry?

  • major flashback! i miss it! :(

  • new york still does it, i love it :)

  • I, too, used to enjoy leaning back and forth and forward and back as if I were riding the coaster.

It always had an anti-climactic ending, though. After all that action, the big finish is...the coaster rolls slowly by. whee.

  • that was awesome!!!!!!!!1

  • i still remember that!

  • BRING THIS BACK!

  • no! seriously!!

whoever works there- tell them to bring it back!! :D

  • is it just me or did the roller coaster use to move faster

  • OH MY GOSH! I haven't seen that in YEARS!!

I miss it... lol. I work for Regal Cinemas too.

  • You work for Regal?? Tell them to bring it back!! :)

  • @jonesyhott theres a regal cinema in vienna , west virgina that still plays this trust me i saw it just befre avatar the last time i was there.

  • @kbrocks100 Grand Central 12! I'm from there. The first theatre I worked at was Towne Sq 6, downtown Parkersburg.

  • @captbeyond10 cool do u still work there?

  • @kbrocks100 Naw, Towne Sq closed down in '01-'02. I left there towards the end of '99 and worked at a 14 screen in Columbus, OH then a 12 screen in Myrtle Beach, SC.

  • Oh please, please, can you do the Regal Cinemas Policy Trailer from 1995?

  • Comment removed

  • I remember how my friends & I used to raise our hands in the air & act like we were on the coaster! classic!

  • oh how i miss that!!

  • You know I don't see one, what about mann theaters can you upload the policy and the feature presentation for it?

  • Can you upload a high quality version of the video?

  • Don't you think I would have if I had one?

  • I LOVE regal!!!!

  • I miss the good ol' days...

  • too bad the sound is so muted, otherwise awesome!

  • HAHA AWESOME

  • Hey I worked on this trailer. That kicks ass that you have it.

  • ahhh, i swear it's like a piece of my childhook died when they took that away....just as it did when i finshed harry potter 7....and ofcourse the biggest one of all, when DZ Discovery Zone closed down...*tear*

  • This totally made my day, thank you!

  • I miss this!

  • Does anyone have the theater policy trailer for National Amusements? A movie theater near our city uses that one.

  • I remember that intro back in the 1990s.

I work at a regal and all we have is that "please silence your cell phones" logo.

  • Nice trailer!

  • omg i remeber this from when i was little... it was so cool... this brings back memories!!!

  • I love these policy trailers; they bring back so many memories! I certainly hope that the "3rd party" notices that were tagged to XenonExplosion's other postings (the UA trailers) will eventually go away so that they can be put back up. I can only hope that this isn't the last we see from XenonExplosion!

  • Someone uploaded a varie of this with better quallity and had Coca-Cola insted of Pepsi.

  • Yep! lakes6 uploaded the version after the company merged with United Artists and Edwards to form Regal Entertainment Group, at which point they switched to Coke products, and changed some of the candy. That version is much better quality than this one.

  • Lakes6 got suspended!

  • it's back, but on MY profile now.
