That's the one they ran when I worked there. I think you're missing the center channel audio. Directional seems to be coming through, but the mono center channel just doesn't sound there.
I remember the first time I saw this was when I was 6 years old and saw Disney's 102 Dalmatians. I've loved it since then. I;m glad that they just recently brought this policy trailer back, noticed when I saw Alpha & Omega, i quietly said to myself, "THANK YOU REGAL 4 bringing this trailer back!!"
I can remember seeing this before watching Toy Story 2 with a bunch of my friends in the theater. This came on, and we all put our hands up and pretended like we were riding the thing! And then some old lady yelled at us. Oh, nostalgia!
@TheEpicWeezl; Actually the composer for the Roller Coaster animation was a guy by the name of Cal Scott. Your teacher may have composed something else for Regal though...
I was at a regal cinemas today to see legend of the guardians and this was shown (but instead of pepsi there was coke and green text instead of red text)
the guy who made the music for this opening lives in coeur d' alene idaho. his name is barry aiken. i actually used to take piano lessons from him and when he told me he made the track for this i was pumped. i felt like i was in the presence of a celebrity . kinda haha
Oh, wow. I remember seeing this as a little kid at the theaters with my grandma. I'd put my hands up and move along with it and ask her to do the same. Thanks for posting!
They don't show these anymore before a movie. This always gave me the hype and i always acted as if i was on a rollercoaster, haha! Thanks for the upload. How awkward, i'm going to go watch a movie later at regals, hopefully they show this.
I wish I could find the old Regal Cinemas policy trailer from the early 80's, it had awesome disco music. We use to get up and dance to it before the movie.
Hi! Is there anyway you could send me a download link for this video file? I'm doing a US History project and this would just be the icing on the cake!
when I was five I first saw this, and I was convinced it was the movie and as soon as it was over I clapped, stood up and walked out of the theater. My mom had to drag me back
It brings back memories. The first time I saw this logo was when I went to see Pokemon: The First Movie at West Town Stadium 9, which marked my first experience at a Regal theatre.
It's awesome to see this again. I once saw this where they accidentally put in the clip upside down. So it played upside down and the music was backwards. Pretty crazy!
I heard that very few of the Regal theaters (UA and Edwards included) that don't use the annoying digital pre-show commercials still use the roller coaster on film. We should find those theaters and seek them out before Regal closes them!!
YES!! I have like 50 of the souvenir cups in my closet. They are the ones from the "Star Wars Episode 1" series. I only have 3 different styles because the movie left before we moved on to the other characters in the cup series, HAHA.
Wow, incredible how awesome of an intro this is, and so few theatres run it anymore... I remember people waving their arms in the air as if they were riding it, lol. (Like what TreadwellJay said)
Checkout robbiesreels dot com I think he makes them himself from 35mm but I really don't know, It's under his trailers section. Also he has AMC theater trailers with clip "silence is golden" THX SDDS etc. I have bought from him & they are great quality. Haven't ordered this trailer yet though.
yeah, i got it on 16mm, i am transfering it in twice the quality of hd, and i am going to upload it in the highest quality posible on youtube. twice of the normal youtube resolution. and it will probably be in stereo.
@kbrocks100 Naw, Towne Sq closed down in '01-'02. I left there towards the end of '99 and worked at a 14 screen in Columbus, OH then a 12 screen in Myrtle Beach, SC.
I think this IS the Regal Cinemas Policy Trailer from 1995. Someone said '96, and there's no way in hell a policy trailer could've been used for just one year.
ahhh, i swear it's like a piece of my childhook died when they took that away....just as it did when i finshed harry potter 7....and ofcourse the biggest one of all, when DZ Discovery Zone closed down...*tear*

Yep! lakes6 uploaded the version after the company merged with United Artists and Edwards to form Regal Entertainment Group, at which point they switched to Coke products, and changed some of the candy. That version is much better quality than this one.
