  • We had like a massive war in my class it was Harry Potter vs Twilight, now i am a HUGE Potterhead (understatement) and i've never hated something as much as i hate twilight, so i made it my mission to win the war lol :P We did, but now all the boys in my class are like 'TWILIGHT IS WAY BETTER THAN HARRY POTTER' And they do it just to annoy me -.-

  • @StarkidHoran well, Twilight is offensive and patronising towards guys as well. Bella is the kind of girl most guys hate; she goes on like she's too good for normal nice guys (i.e. Mike) but goes for guys like Edward, who breaks her heart. Edward is rich and good looking, suggesting that you have to be some sort of Hollywood-millionaire-god to just deserve someone as dull as Bella. And she plays guys against each other. So guys should hate it more than girls.

  • wow, i had never even thought about number 4....damn, you're good lol (:

  • @cherokeediamond thank you :)

  • Wel, if by your definition of Saga I guess the farseer books could be defined as one. the main characters goes through so much shit because of who he is...you actually care about his plights and his triumphs...

  • She does have a job and she was going to college.... And she did have problems with blood like jasper I don't think u read the book closely enough... And obviously you did not understand anything and u just want something to complain about

  • @CAJ535 I remember that she wanted to go to college, but by what I remember at the end she stays at home to look after her family, especially as her daughter was still young. I tried to remember some of the smaller plot situations, but it was four novels, so if I did forget something it was merely human error. I think I have been fair on the video with my complaints, but I apologise if I was incorrect. If I wanted just to moan I would have said 'edward is gay lolz.'

  • I'm not hating on twilight-lovers, but what really aggravates me is that twilight isn't even a good book yet has millions of fans? peole rave about it when theres nothing to rave about. it's just unfair. sure it's an easy read, and mysterious-ish cause of the 'beautiful' vampires. it's also easy to put yourself in bella's shoes and implies that a girl will get the guy of their dreams even if they are completely personality-less and boring. but it's very poorly written. I know no book is perfect

  • @MusiicRoolz Imo, it was the ridiculous exaggeration on behalf of the fans that got this book series turned into a joke. Were the fans more mellow, the meyer would have ticked along nicely and it's flaws wouldn't have been as noticed. Sort of like many don't worry too much over the flaws in Harry Potter.

  • In my school, we have Twihards. I'm actually friends with them. They're the GOOD kinds of Twihards. They like Harry Potter and good kinds of literature, and they aren't obsessing about Edward 24/7. They respect our opinions about Twilight, and we never fight about Harry Potter and Twilight. So I guess I'm thanking you for not putting that you hate Twihards :)

  • @Alyssajulianne thanks, many of my friend are Twihards as well :)

  • I actually like twilight, but this video does have a lot of good points. Well done! Glad to see some intelligence :)

  • @MadeleineEileen15 thank you. Many of my friends love the books, and I myself was pretty ok with the first two! So there are things that I liked about the series. Unfortunately Edward, Bella and the forth book really just killed off my positives :( But everyone has their own opinion, and I certainly don't look down on people who enjoy the books.

  • @samuraivagrant if you are getting to the point were you feel you can insult me personally (somethign I even tried to avoid in this video) just because I have a difference of opinion, then you can kindly fuck off, because I'm not interested.

Oh and it isn't 'regular' to go around making your partner's cry, dumping them in the middle of the woods, stopping them from seeing their friends, telling them to get an abortion and acting like their an idiot, and all that other fun stuff Edward does.

  • since i am here heres some reasons how twilight could ahvew been a better book

1 to many unwanted characters - the only important charactrs u need r

ibella edward carlile bellas dad rosalie and jasper

2 wolves including the muscle guy , the voltori , bellas mom- better of dead ,dakota fanning , esme, alice, emmet ,- completly unwanted characters not required in the book

3 if the book would be more about how both bellas and edwards world r completly different and they cant be together

  • I've been accused for not wanting to see twilight and got in a fight because of that. The thing is I didn't say anything bad about it... ._.

  • @NekoChibiGal I'm sorry to hear that. The joke is that if Twi fans weren't so over the top and aggressive, no one would have been too bothered about it. Because they were so ridiculous and, (in my opinion,) looking for a fight, people like us who aren't too keen on it, end up hating it because they insist on turning into a big issue, and now it is. I dislike a lot of things, but this is the only one I've felt the need to make a video over, which says it all.

  • My friend and I were actually just having a discussion about this very thing earlier today, and I have to say I totally agree 100% with your points. It's also really nice to see valid and rational explanations for the series' faults. (Because, in a lot of cases, the antis are just as bad as the rapid fans.) So, yeah, awesome video! :)

  • This us so true

  • The supposed dark romance books are just repeats of this and are wrote to addict the simple minded people out there. And even to name them 'Dark Romance' is ridiculous. More like 'Shallow Romance Books'. Plus I hate the actors they use. Kristen Stewert is a rubbish actor picked for her looks which are not that good anyway. This may sound harsh but I wouldn’t mind if she any acting skills but she has a monotone voiceandface. Sheneverportrayedanyemotionandyouthinkshewouldofhadachancewiththe'saga'!

  • I completely know what you are talking about, and I have a few more. I have read many 'Dark Romance' books and they are ALL THE SAME. The all portray a GIRL who has weak morals and is dark and distant with either brown or blond hair. The girl meets someone who she finds attracted too and eventually finds out and then, either becomes on of them and there is a big crisis OR the other way round. Then the girl and the boy get together and crisis is gone. THE END. Pleasereadnext commentasnomorespace!

  • This is a good video, but I suggest reading the books very carefully before you make such a video. a lot of the facts you stated about the book were wrong, and the way edward acted was taken out of context.

  • @laurag333 Please give examples.

  • There's a difference. edward wanted bella to go to the prom because he knew she would enjoy it, and her petulance was just rooted in fear of falling over while she danced. The difference between helping someone who you know well do what is important for growth and making someone do something they don't want to do because it's not right for them....that's a difference.

  • @laurag333 Edward is her boyfriend. He wasn't her father or her god or her master. If she didn't want to go then she didn't want to go. If she wanted to be 'petulant' and not go then that is her right. If he wanted to help her get over her self consiousness he could have found a much nicer way of doing it and built up her confidence slowly. I would not find such actions of a spouse, lover or boyfriend or girlfriend romantic in real life.

  • @MoonPhase94 I think these books and films are being misinterpreted as some guideline for reality. I'm always curious when people say that he's abusive because I haven't seen that at all. Everyone says that she shouldn't be with him in the first place, so when he leaves her everyone is like "ABUSE!!" Which is it? All of this just seems to be reading way to much into fiction in a way we don't do with anything else. It's like saying Beauty and the Beast made kids attracted to animals. Its stupid.

  • @samuraivagrant It's not stupid to analyse or story or to be critical of themes. Beauty and the Beast is an analogy; the idea of her falling for a beast is the whole point of it's shocking nature, and most of us realise that the beast actually stands for the upper class or someone 'undesirable.' While some have (albeit jokingly) mentioned beastiality, more have criticised it for stockholm syndrome and for making the upper class, who were brutal at the time, seem 'nice underneath.'

  • @samuraivagrant Anyway, to answer you in regards to Twilight particularly. Many who say he's abusive give examples. We aren't saying that he beats her up. What we do argue is that it is emotional abuse, which is terrible at slowly eating away at someone's freedom and self esteem (which usually low to begin with.) User the links I suggested in the details because it will take too much time here. As for him leaving, it was the way that he did it. He was very cruel.

  • @MoonPhase94 That's looking way too deep into it. And emotional abuse isn't present within the context of the story. If it was about 2 regular people then yes you might have a point. But within the context of the story it's actually the girl to blame. She's infatuated with him no matter what the hell he does. His brother tried to kill her and she STILL does not get it when he says his world is too dangerous for her. The only way she'd give up was for him to end it the way he did.

  • @MoonPhase94 Good point. He's not her father or master. He's like 100 years old and probably knows more about life than any human character in that series. Anybody who thinks that a boyfriend or girlfriend trying to get the other to do something good for themselves is a huge problem, probably has issues of their own. Her having ridiculously low self-esteem isn't his doing. You're turning something regular people do into abuse just because she's messed up in the head.

  • @samuraivagrant Age is irrelevant. First off, he acts like a teenager anyway and we are led to believe that this is his first time in love. So he's as new to this as her. Second, his being older does not mean he has the right to make her do something she didn't want to. You can say 'for her own good' as much as you want, but at ultimtely it was forceful and unkind and typical of their relationship. Finally, don't you dare say or even imply I have 'issues' I have not been so rude to you.

  • twilight promotes satanism letting the vampire win

  • @kennedy072 totally

  • twilight is simply boring. i couldn't laugh or even smile when reading it. there's no jokes in the book. - -

  • i've never really heard of twilight and i have no opinion for it, but i cant stop watching these videos XD they are so funny XD

  • @URAbunnylover2 I guess people ranting away about somethingreatvely silly is funny :)

  • @MoonPhase94 Rants are always funny, except when you actually like what they're ranting about XD

  • how bout when aro kisses jane in new moon..... thats peadophelia

  • If Edward is a perfect match for Bella

And Bella is Stephenie Meyer (except younger, weighs less, and is prettier.)

Then Edward is a perfect match for Stephenie Meyer.

PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THE MOST SELF-INSERTED MARY-SUE CRAP EVER WRITTEN!!!!

  • i got a good saga for you called the Darren Shan saga its about a kid who becomes a vamp but life isnt rosey for him he goes into the belly of the beast and out the demons ass

  • the best reason that I hate twilight, all this "edward/jacob is the best!" shit and all the damned fighting, ppl just forget that ITS JUST A FUCKING MOVIE AND BOOK, AND THAT ITS SILLY TO OBSSESS OVER THIS SHIT!

  • This was brilliant. 5* !! don't mind if I use some points because i would love to own all the twilight fags at my school so badly I go to an all girls :(( feel my pain!!

  • Quality arguments.

The Twilight books are real page-turners and are fun to read the first time around, despite the occasional gag-inducing dialogue...

until you look back and think about the series, and realize how disturbing its messages are.

  • Pure Brilliance.

The best anti-twilight video I've seen.

It's a crime that this video hasn't already been featured on the home page, there are some important messages in here for the "Twitards".

  • You brought up some AMAZING points in this, and fleshed them out perfectly! I commend you on a job very well done!
