@KCP100 I got windows 7 on my main computer now and put it into raid 0 osx didn't seen to like the hardware raid so I have to go into the bios and turn raid off to make osx load now bit of a annoyance.
My Gateway T-1424u laptop takes about 3-4 minutes to get to the login screen. Then it takes another minute to load up the desktop. Here are it's stats:
You know the first thing that comes up when u boot up vista? The little loading bar which makes like 4-5 passes? Yours took 4 whereas mine take atlesat 10. WTF. No ofense but i think my pc should boot faster than yours. Any tips? Can you help me?
to decrease loading time. go to windows explorer. then go to your C: drive. right click to properties and then go to tools and then click defragment now. you can run on schedules and also choose the drives that you use the most if you have more than 1 hard drive. if you have alot of free space at least about 75%+ then don't do it. less free space the longer it takes. PS: If you have a small hard drive reserved for system recovery don't defragment that!
can u tell me what to do here right i have windows vista home premium 2gb ram 145gb drive AMD64 1.70ghz and when my computer comes to welcome screen it dose it when it is ment to do fade out then fade in instead mine dose fade out then it stays black for 15 secs what is wrong could som1 tell me thx
My PC is not a Core 2 Duo, but a Pentium 4 w/ HT, and it has only 1GB of RAM, I have a 512MB GFX card, and 240 GB HDD. My pc boots all the way to the login screen in about 21 seconds, and your Core 2 Duo, is only one second faster than mine?
ive only defragged it and emptied the prefetch folder, i tried a program called "TweakVI" but it did not make a noticable difference. But i think the main reasion is that this is a dell oem version of vista, that dell themselves may have tweaked
Thumbs up if you new NiebaumCurran is from England.
