I Have got appreciate your Video, detailed, useful hint to make the cuts for the switch, I did learn how, and great ignorance of others they search for information, some one gives the time and efforts to aid them and they come here to say things, Keep on aid the people just give attention for who deserve it....
@gueburah Sure beats getting hundreds of stupid questions because people don't pay attention. I figured it would be better to cover everything even if it was stupid.
I don't remember what size wire I used, but it was... the right size for the job? Pretty small.
And yeah, that's all you gotta do, solder three wires to the jumper's spots, and then the other side (with the wires in the right order) solder them to a switch.
I've never tried it, and haven't even looked into it. I looked around just now and can't seem to find any information regarding the mod, which is a little weird, perhaps it's impossible? I'll keep looking, though.
alright i want to play PAL games on my genesis and i did the switch and it works fine except for whenever i switch to the jp3 and put my PAL game in the video scrolls up and is very hard to play. is there anpther thing im missing?
Yes, that was another mod that was some RCA AV jacks to come out the back so I could use normal connections instead of the normal Geneis AV plug. And get stereo sound out of the back!
For me, I like the square switch better if it's going to be on the outside cause they blend in better and not so easy to switch off. Not Bad. I recommend the holes honestly cause if that epoxy breaks off, the switch might fall back and ground something out. Personal choice however
Hello alecjahn,
I am planning to make a mod between 50hz and 60hz.
I have never done any modification so I must ask for assurance:
Does it work if I do all things you have done same way, except JP1 is JP3 and JP2 is JP4 at 4:52? Does it work that way?
And btw, I love these tutorial videos you have made, they are really helpful! :)

yeah, I suppose simply black screws would look just fine. I'm still feeling out some ideas on a few other things as well.
