What about a man's reproductive rights? Why is there no tribunal to determine whether these people are ready for this responsibility? How horrible these things are happening. Forcing a girl/woman to have an abortion is as bad as forcing her to have children. They are both forced sexual slavery akin to rape, molestation, assault, battery... Men are so lucky. I married a man who showed no signs of an abusive personality. The abuse began as emotional/mental abuse that was so subtle I didn't realize what he was doing to me. As it progressed I realized what was happening & I tried to leave him. I told him to fuck off & he severely beat me, afterwards he hid the phones, trapped me in the apartment & my neighbors ignored my pleas. I escaped when he went to the kitchen for a knife. No one saw him for what he truly was, not my parents, friends, or children.

@roevswade Once again disinformation; Slavery was not legal nationally-it was systematically ratified as illegal in most Northern states as were the "Jim Crow" laws you refer to with the "back of the bus". The Supreme Court in early 1900 ruled to let the individual states decide as opposed to making a federal ruling and look what that brought us. Women weren't allowed to vote, either; Should the Supreme Court reverse THAT ruling as well?
This is about the RIGHT TO PRIVACY and they got it right.

If you have to choose between housing and a baby, it's not a choice. If you have to choose between your job and a baby, it's not a choice. There is this loving option called adoption. With it a woman can meet the needs of her child and afford housing, a job, and education. This is a real choice.
I know in some states will not force abortion but will make a person lose their state aid if they have another child when on assistance. I know a family who adopted a child because the birth mom was on state aid and would loose it if she kept the second child. Its a conservative view that if you are on welfare and keep having kids you should loose it. without question. Ironically its usually the conservatives who are pro life.

If the Bible's message on premarital sex was obeyed, then there would be far fewer sexually transmitted diseases, far fewer abortions, far fewer un-wed mothers / unwanted pregnancies, and far fewer children growing up without both parents in their lives. Sure, it has some good ethics, but a lot of the book is bullshit.
People need to extract the good points from it, and not focus on the sexist parts, such as women not having a right to choose what their life becomes, which was said in the comment I was replying to.

My problem with adoption, especially regarding prolife, is the idea to put children up for adoption INSTEAD of aborting, but when we consiider there are a million abortion a yr, that could leave a million kids up for adoption...10 million in 10 yrs.Can you imagine the chaos? the pregnant drug addict should have been assigned consistent addiction treatment, all her other babies sould have been checked on. OK, I can see the reasoning behind the first case, b/c that woman was a drug addict and if she had continued to do drugs, she would have given birth to a child with MAJOR birth defects. I don't know what the state could have done about ensuring that she wouldn't use drugs while she was pregnant and after she gave birth for that matter. Maybe what they should have done was force her into a drug rehabilitation center, but I don't know what about her children while she would be there though...

I just want to thank you so much for this video response. I was forced into an abortion by my boyfriend. He told me if I did not get an abortion that he would leave me and drag my name through the mud until everyone knew how much of a slut I am. He made the appointment for me and drove me to the clinic. I got out of it the first visit, but the 2nd time I was too terrified to talk at all. I am still working through my issues and do not think I will ever recover from my forced abortion.

they did STD testing, but never gave her the results in order to make an educated decision. Instead of dilating her 24-48 hrs prior to the surgery w/ lamineria, they opted to dilate her manually w/ metal rods...AWAKE, which is horrific for a 2nd trimester D&E/live dismemberment abortion. While on the table, in the stirrups, being dilated, she was in pain & the abortionist stopped so her mom could get more money for general anesthesia. She got fetal development & abortion facts. She chose life.
She chose adoption...she began prenatal testing & her OB did STD testing. They discovered her attacker had given her Chlamidia, which left untreated, can make a woman sterile. The abortion clinic cared so much about the reproductive future of this young 13 yr old lady, they never bothered to tell her so she could be treated & cured! She might have aborted at 13 the ONLY baby she would ever be able to conceive.
This is a common story line, I just heard one like this last week, the age was different alone with the outcome, she was 17yrs, got a one day no per-dilation at 16weeks, she was told that it was a girl.
Today she is sterile, the only child she had was aborted. many tears! very sad story!
Several yrs back a girl posted her abortion story. She didn't want to abort or place for adoption, but due to age and money & went to a clinic to get counseling & help. They told her they could do an "embryo transfer" so she wouldn't have the pain of "giving up" her baby after 9 months & she would be helping an infertile woman. She agreed & PAID for the clinic to "remove the embryo" which was to be transplanted into another woman. During the ultrasound prior to the "transfer", the nurse said...
"Oh, your baby is already dead. We need to do a D&C." Which she agreed to, since she believed the baby was dead. Of course, it is not yet possible to "transfer" or "transplant" an embryo/fetus!!! Also, IF it were, it would be an "adoption" & the "donor" would never have to pay! She was clear that she didn't want to abort, couldn't care for a baby, & believed she was helping some other woman. The grossness of this lie! Then to tell her the baby had died all to procure an abortion! SICK!!!!!!!!!
To clear up what I stated earlier: Pregnancy is never just the woman's choice. Of course, she has a say! But, she did not get pregnant on her own. There's not two sides of the matter, but, THREE. The mommy, the daddy, and of course, the-would-be-butchered unborn baby. Truly, truly a silent scream. Wow, this is really an evil world, God or not.
Is going to hell a choice? My, oh, my. Anyone who FORCES a young girl to get an abortion has blood on their hands, obviously. The lady in this video seems lovely and kind. However, pregnancy is never a woman's choice! Does the unborn child have any say? Does the father? Does the surrounding families? Of course unplanned pregnancy will be a hardship! That's exactly why today, getting pregnant in the first place shouldn't be a mystery.

How horrible these things are happening. Forcing a girl/woman to have an abortion is as bad as forcing her to have children. They are both forced sexual slavery akin to rape, molestation, assault, battery... Men are so lucky. They don't have people arguing over the right to hold them down, stick instruments inside their body, grow another body inside theirs, decide organs are useful only in relation to others... I married a man who showed no signs of an abusive personality. The abuse began as emotional/mental abuse that was so subtle I didn't realize what he was doing to me. As it progressed I realized what was happening & I tried to leave him. I told him to fuck off & he severely beat me, afterwards he hid the phones, trapped me in the apartment & my neighbors ignored my pleas. I escaped when he went to the kitchen for a knife. No one saw him for what he truly was, not my parents, friends, or children.

Louis Pasteur's Law of Biogenesis says that a species can only procreate after it's own kind.
In other words, an embryo or fetus of humans is also human.

@roevswade Once again disinformation; Slavery was not legal nationally-it was systematically ratified as illegal in most Northern states as were the "Jim Crow" laws you refer to with the "back of the bus". The Supreme Court in early 1900 ruled to let the individual states decide as opposed to making a federal ruling and look what that brought us. Women weren't allowed to vote, either; Should the Supreme Court reverse THAT ruling as well?

I know in some states will not force abortion but will make a person lose their state aid if they have another child when on assistance. I know a family who adopted a child because the birth mom was on state aid and would loose it if she kept the second child. Its a conservative view that if you are on welfare and keep having kids you should loose it. without question. Ironically its usually the conservatives who are pro life.

If the Bible's message on premarital sex was obeyed, then there would be far fewer sexually transmitted diseases, far fewer abortions, far fewer un-wed mothers / unwanted pregnancies, and far fewer children growing up without both parents in their lives. Sure, it has some good ethics, but a lot of the book is bullshit.
People need to extract the good points from it, and not focus on the sexist parts, such as women not having a right to choose what their life becomes, which was said in the comment I was replying to.

I would hardly equate dog pound like environments to the thousands of happy families created by adoption, every year Sorry but I am curious what is your take about the abortion issue ? in general I believe what a woman chooses to do with her body is sacrosanct ( to have or abort a child is her choice ) and no woman should be forced to have an abortion, but IF she refuses one, AND her "support" group ( parents /father of the chid ) don't want to pick up the bill for the little bastard.

My problem with adoption, especially regarding prolife, is the idea to put children up for adoption INSTEAD of aborting, but when we consiider there are a million abortion a yr, that could leave a million kids up for adoption...10 million in 10 yrs.Can you imagine the chaos? I get a mental image of the Orphan Trains of the late 18 early 1900's.Kids pawned off like slaves,many to be abused farmhands.I just love the kids too much

Unfortunately, there is a shortage of kids for adoption....( to a degree ) but IF there are a million procedures a year it sure would be hard to place a million kids/year By the way, just so you know my wife and I are,Conservative, Christian, Pro Gun, Pro Death Penalty, AND PRO CHOICE ( and there are a whole lot of people here just like us ) not all conservatives ( even Christian ) are radical Bible thumping radical pro life

the second example is a whole different story. it's one thing to get pregnant once and decide to have an abortion, but i think after your second one, there should be a MANDATORY tying of the old tubes. sorry, i am very pro-choice, but not in this case...with so many options for birth control available, this is ridiculous. i personally would not have an abortion, but am extremely pro-choice. how many male pro-lifers wear condoms each and every time, i wonder....

this matter should be taken case by case. it's one thing to be forced or coerced into having an abortion, it's another for a crackhead who seems to use abortion as a form of birth control. in the first example, i am against ANYONE but the mother to be to decide, as long as she is of an age to make that decision, and you can't do that alone at 12!! it is a woman's choice, not mine, not yours and certainly NO MAN'S choice, i am speaking of the gov't now..stay out of my fucking uterus!!

the pregnant drug addict should have been assigned consistent addiction treatment, all her other babies sould have been checked on. Of course it sounds terrible to "force" a needy mom into sterilization, but how outrageous for everyone to have to keep funding pregnancies and support for someone living like the addicted woman is. the explanation you give are the same explanation I have heard as to why someone was placed up for adoption in the fifties. How do I know? Becuase my mother was born in the fifties and I went to a couple of her support group meetings. So what have we done exchanged adoption for abortion. OK, I can see the reasoning behind the first case, b/c that woman was a drug addict and if she had continued to do drugs, she would have given birth to a child with MAJOR birth defects. I don't know what the state could have done about ensuring that she wouldn't use drugs while she was pregnant and after she gave birth for that matter. Maybe what they should have done was force her into a drug rehabilitation center, but I don't know what about her children while she would be there though...

In most cases abortion is a way of avoiding some real problems and prejudices in society against pregnant woman. It would be like me lighting my skin because of bigots toward my dark skin. The issue isn't if abortion should be legal or not it is WHY woman feel they have to have it done. They are contributing to the hatred on unwed mothers.

I just want to thank you so much for this video response. I was forced into an abortion by my boyfriend. He told me if I did not get an abortion that he would leave me and drag my name through the mud until everyone knew how much of a slut I am. He made the appointment for me and drove me to the clinic. I got out of it the first visit, but the 2nd time I was too terrified to talk at all. I am still working through my issues and do not think I will ever recover from my forced abortion.

my daughter's birth mom was raped at 13 & taken to a clinic where she was counseled by the abortionist & staff that at 20 wks, her baby was not formed yet & was not allowed to see the ultrasound. She was not told anything about the procedure, risks, options, etc... When she asked about adoption, she was told by the staff "no one will want a bi-racial rapist's baby" & when she still hesitated, they told her if she didn't consent, she would die. they did STD testing, but never gave her the results in order to make an educated decision. Instead of dilating her 24-48 hrs prior to the surgery w/ lamineria, they opted to dilate her manually w/ metal rods...AWAKE, which is horrific for a 2nd trimester D&E/live dismemberment abortion. While on the table, in the stirrups, being dilated, she was in pain & the abortionist stopped so her mom could get more money for general anesthesia. She got fetal development & abortion facts. She chose life.

The abortion clinic cared so much about the reproductive future of this young 13 yr old lady, they never bothered to tell her so she could be treated & cured! This is a common story line, I just heard one like this last week, the age was different alone with the outcome, she was 17yrs, got a one day no per-dilation at 16weeks, she was told that it was a girl.
Today she is sterile, the only child she had was aborted. many tears! very sad story!

However, pregnancy is never a woman's choice! Does the unborn child have any say? Does the father? Does the surrounding families? Of course unplanned pregnancy will be a hardship!
