Regardless of what you may think of Saturn- I thought this was a neat marketing trick in an effort to sell more cars. Unfortunately for Saturn I don't think it worked...
actually the Aura is less fully loaded that either of the Japanese brands and both where ruled by Car and Driver to be worse performers than the Aura. The only place they won is fit and finish which if your a driver you could give a rats ass about. Its all on how the car performs. That being said I think my Aura's interior soundly beats my father in laws accords.
Try out new GM cars for yourself instead of basing your logic on a website. It works better. I used to hate Ford because the Reviews, but I rode in three of them (Focus Edge and Fusion) and they are really nice. The Edge feels like a Benz and so does the Fusion with the leather interior.
The Envoy, Saab 9-X and the Trailblazer (excludng the SS..because it has a Corvette Engine) are tied with the Chrysler Pacifica for the tackiest vehicles ever made.
Ok, I'll make it simple. Go to google. Click on news. Type in 2008 Accord. Hit enter. Now see the pretty pictures? Click on one.
And sales results come only from the automakers themselves. GM reports GM sales. Toyota reports Toyota sales. GMinsidenews is a fan site, that's actually highly regarded for it's news content... and not just for GM news.
In fact most of the people who go there aren't even GM fans.
Google it. Or go to GMinsidenews and search the fourms. Aura sold 5,800 (great compared to previous months). Fusion sold 12,400. Accord sold 28,900. Camry sold 46,000. Comparing the Aura to the Fusion would suggest it can't compete with the Accord and Camry. Which it can (Aura beat Camry for NA Car of the year... the best award a car can get).
That's a matter of opinion. Most Aura reviews mention it's good looks.
I'm not impressed with the 08 Accord. More of the same from Honda.
They didn't compare it to the Fusion because no one thinks highly of it, and it doesn't sell. There is far more money to be made by going after the millions of Camcord owners.
We test drove comparable comparable Aura and Accord models before we bought our Accord. The Aura is not up to the quality of the Accord, let alone the Camry.
I've driven the Camry and Accord and while they're good cars, the Aura is definitely giving them a run for their money...less money too. Had my Aura for 2 months and loving it!
sry I'll stick to our accords. i doubt this will last as long as my 89 accord or my dads 07. no one will give a damn about this car. it annoys me to see accords but i'd rather see that than this bangle butt anal (aura).
Saturn is so stupid I just read a review on Canadian Driver complaining about clunky transmissions and hitting heads on the roofrail. No way this car is better I feel like going to the dealer now and saying wow this really makes me want to buy Camry or Accord and see what the reaction of the dealer. Oh and that interior is a POS.
The Honda Accord is getting a redesign for 2008, so it would not be right to compare to the old Accord, whereas the Camry has just been redesigned for 2007. Maybe GM should compare their sedan to the Ford Fusion

Better not go to a Saturn dealer if you don't want your opinion changed.
