  • on the this great poem , i put my own translation in Arabic for our Arabic audience to enjoy this

    remarkable and distinguished poem ,hassan

  • People always Chose the Road that has been taken by Majority because they think that they would safe. but sometimes we should have enough courage to chose the path where we really want to be

  • I think its about someone being lonley. a person has to choices or two roads if you will. one road /choice keep working to fit in the other road/choice to go on that path by them selves come what may and not wait for acceptance and what have you.

    Michelle

    Louisiana

  • Who cares about roads? I can fly!

  • 42 people have no soul.

  • i like the moral which it says!:)

  • You are a beautiful girl Sebastian.Oh to meet you on a path less travelled.

  • @HorseLuver569 same xD

  • *doubted :]

  • how bout you go between the two roads... just saying. why choose when you can go inbetween them!

  • A lovely reading and very natural video! Well done! Some of the critics of this video should walk the woods to find they're way....

  • Bravo!

  • Wonderful work. Thank you so much. Please allow me to add spanish subtitles to it :-)

  • nice! perfect rythm....

  • lol shes so deformed

  • @silverbeauty101 shut the hell up, Limey !

  • @Yosemite25 suck her pubic hair if u like her so much lol

  • Name of song....?!?!?!?!?!!?

  • excellent

  • lol

  • Like any good poem, it's "meaning" changes because of what you bring to it. It could be about regret, or about not following the crowd, or about there not really being a road less traveled. Depends on what you bring to it. When I read this as a young person, I thought the "sigh" near the end would be a sigh of contentment with my choice of the road less travelled, but now that I'm older, I feel like that sigh might be one of melancholy, of wistfulness. I'm reading it with different eyes now.

  • lol what a traveler

  • can i please use your video in my school project because im doing a project on this poem ?

  • Very nice video. I'm studying this poem in school.

  • she shouldnt be smiling.. it ruins it D:<

  • @angelyanggg I have to concur; who grins like that when trying to find themselves? ^.^

  • This video represents a true artist of life. Robert Frost. The Lady in this video and all who conducted it, truly understands its pure nature. Great job to you and this video.

  • wouldn't it be funny if she saw a bunch of people marching down that road in front of her after she said 'i took the one less traveled by'? hahahaha

  • Good idea to visualize this poem ;)

    I like it

  • This vid is lame, but at least that chick looks good

  • in english class watching this

  • lej

  • whore

  • your unique video is quit good I believe less smirk in the beginning would have showed the degree of the slightly serious Diction used but as I said quite well put sweaty keep going for your talent(s)

  • Great video clip. Thank you for sharing. Bless you!

  • The primary point.. The passing there had worn them about the same...

  • This was nice, thank you for sharing.

    joanie

  • The whole point of this poem is "Regret"

  • The point of the poem is not "Regret". Its about taking the road less travelled. Meaning: Going your own way and not following the crowd.

Its actually about picking your path and having No Regrets

  • "though as for that the passing there had worn them really about the same"

did you just miss those two lines?

  • Thank you for helping me study!

  • Awesome peom and video. I have one thing though. Robert Frost did not state whether the "difference" was a good one or a bad one. That's what makes the poem so great!

Yet in the video this "difference" is portrayed as being a "good" difference.

i really don't mean to bash it though.

nice recording, good interpretation and i like your JACKET!

  • love it love it

so i have a question in poetry it doesnt mater were u stop or does it??

  • This vid had such potential with the birds singing the seasons praises and with the visual delights of nature. Why would you bring a PURSE on this fantastic journery. Completely lost me on this trip.

  • STOP LOOKING AT THE CAMERA, getting me out of the story :(

  • It was alone It was forsaken It was the middle path that I should have taken So I had a change of heart And decided to choose the middle path I ignored the extremes And all their pretence And that has made All the difference. XXX Monica
  • What diffidence now, that path has gone

  • Wow Wow Wow

  • The road best taken On the grassy verge Above the yellow wood I saw the parting paths converge And I understood Whichever road I decided to explore would lead me back to where I was before Both pathways were extremes Simply reciprocal forms Of the same thing. Yet hidden in the undergrowth Lay the middle path Between them both.
  • umm the reading of the poem was really bad... not the voice, but the speaker stopped when your not supposed to.

ya thats true and all but the poem doesnt mean litterally

it means like a metaphor of life

  • the reading of the poem was really bad... not the voice, but the speaker stopped when your not supposed to.

  • It's poetry- who says where a stop or pause should or should not be?? The changing of cadence and tempo can change a poem completely and sometimes that can make a real impact on meaning or impact of a piece.

  • dude i wanna c u try and do this if u cant do better stfu and let me people do wut dey do

  • kinda freeked me out when she stopped and started talking

  • Are you a naturally unkind person, or do you just make rude comments without thinking?

  • This is a great effort but the woman in this video seems to lack the depth and seriousness required. She doesn't match the narration.

  • lol he is saying same exact thing as above post just nicely..

  • The walking stick and purse dont really compliment each other.

  • i love this poem :) its nice 5/5

  • is there a place you can download an audio version of this poem?

  • I love this poem. especially the way the words are spoken. Great job!!! : D

  • What do you think this poem means?

  • The choices you make in life.

  • this is really deep i love it!

  • This is an astonishingly simple yet beautiful poem. I feel like my thoughts have been taken and put to paper. Well done.

  • this actually helped me im trying to memorize it an i got it :)

  • ooh ooh me too!

  • dude, i totally agree.

  • you are just too stupid to appreciate poetry

  • why did you make this?

  • DevJL: "why did you make this?"

    1. Why ask why? Try Bud Dry!

    2. Because it was there.

    3. If you have to ask, you'll never truly know.

  • I guess that I was mistaken for believing that the easiest way to seek answers is to ask questions.

  • You are not mistaken. You asked. Your question was answered. I can't help it if they were not the answers you wanted.

  • Then I was certainly mistaken for thinking that I would receive any sort of practical and straightforward answer.

  • "If you have to ask, you'll never know"

lol, that was Angelica's quote on the Rugrats!

  • I agree, lets get this girls grandpa and then it'll be a bit better! And it's true, this girl knows too much that there is a camera on her. No one has that much of an easy smile on their face. It should be blank and thoughtful!

  • How can a girl in her 20's ever expect credibility with this poem? She has the energy to climb mountains but this is the story of an elderly person looking back over a life of decision and indecision. Her cadence was ill timed and is more suited to that of an auctioneer selling horses. In my opinion she should listen to the man himself.

  • @Bulitproof1 if it's about an elderly person, why does it say "ages and ages hence"? Seems like this is being told from the point of view of someone who still has a long way to go.

  • I hate her half smile the entire time... when you're alone in the woods, how often do you keep up a half smile?

  • it starts like a porno

  • that is so true.

  • Sp. Taken. Oops.

  • The Road not Take is one of my favorite poems and I actually enjoy writing about it.

  • I loved this poem. =) one of my favourites, learned about it back in high school...ahh... ^^

  • I'm a student, working on an ISU. I would really like to use this video specifically for it... but I don't know how to download a video directly off of Youtube and I can't find it anywhere else. Does anyone know how to download a video off of Youtube, and onto a Jumpdrive?

  • Download Realplayer and there's an option to download videos from youtube.

  • download 'youtube downloader'

search it on google, and u can just dl any video of youtube (using the URL)

  • i agree with Kw0nZILLa!!! HAHAHAHAhAHA amzing

  • My school is named after Robert Frost the amazing poet...~!

  • robert frost is one of the best poets ever along with dr seues ( i think i spelled that wrong) and slash

  • u no Robert Frost really wrote this poem as a joke for his friend that always got lost in the woods. i just found out a few weeks ago, thought it was kinda weird. just goes to show u that ppl don't always interpret a poem the same way as sum1 else, including the author.

  • kinda ironic, no? ;)

  • this bitch needs to get back into da kitchen

  • this poem has a fantastic message its so beautiful

  • wtf??

    wow your pretty cool

  • wtf u crazy first of all thats sexiest aandl, it doesnt make any sense

  • whats wrong with sexiest?

    its better than sexier

  • why would u talk about ur mother like that?

  • If God made anything better than women He must have kept it to Himself.

  • cool.

  • My favorite poem, and really cool video.

  • Just wait . . . the road you didn't take will come back and haunt your ass . . . trust me on that one!

  • Lol Annie Lol...hahahahahah...good one....

  • I liked the music with the poem, but personally, although it might be one of his most known poems, I do not think it is even near his best poem.

  • Where is that, the nature is so beautiful? My guess would be somewhere around Oregon.

  • Beautiful poem. Horrible video, Horrible voice..scenary too much

  • Poetry is a combining of music and literature. Frost was a master at it.

  • haha wow: 1:23 looks like she just discovered the sensations you can get in you clit and 1:29-1:31 is more of a "why-didnt-anyone-tell-me" kindof face

  • I like the poem but the video was very interesting.

  • voice = scary michael jackson.

    sorry but it's true.

    nice video though.

  • It's a poem...it can be a number of things...and this is a pointless video

  • ...The poem isn't supposed to be uplifting.

  • He writes his poetry in a simple musical style that moves me deeply.

  • Bravo!!!

    Amazing Poem and video. COngratulations.

  • *sigh* yuppies...nice poem though.

  • Lose the purse.

  • lose the stick as well.

  • i like the poem but that was ... weird

  • Nice voice and audio

  • One beautiful piece of poetry, in a very inspiring clip. Congratulations.

  • good idea!

  • verygood idea!

  • hey this video is great I have to study a selection of his poetry, this being one and it has made it much clearer for me.go raibh mile maith agat.

  • another great vid from y'all! they have this poem posted at a fork in one of the nature trails near me. i just have to stop and read it every time! i keep that up i should have it memorized in no time! =;-}

  • You should of at least walked to the music...

  • why do u search up the video if ur gonna down on it if u dont like it dont search it up

  • This is actually just one of several roads that Robert Frost did not take.

  • what in the hell is wrong with you???

  • It's poetry, not math. There are no right or wrong ways to read or interpret it, because poetry is completely subjective.

So, since you think it's junk, why don't you post a better version?

  • fuck yourself you useless peice of crap.

  • you, jorge, are an idiot.

    1- no kidding

    2- who cares

3- the reading was done the same as i've always heard it done.

4- bet your faces are much worse.

  • What's the matter with you? Are you a complete moron? Why drive by with this load of crap?

  • You are a very small person, Jorge. Not physically small, perhaps (I've never seen you), but small of mind. The nasty comment you made on someone else's poetry reading was entirely uncalled-for. If you didn't like it, it wasn't intend for you. Poetry is for people of spirit, education and depth, with none of which things you appear to be endowed. You are just a troll.

  • My favorite poet - along with Emily Dickenson.

  • we r singing this song in choir

  • Nicely done.

  • Beautiful && Well Done

    :)

  • What's with the purse on the long hike?

  • I think a lot of people misinterprete the meaning of this poem.

  • Yep- seeing as it was originally meant as a humorous poke at his friend, Edward Thomas.

  • Great video - Please check out my video for "The Telephone."

Very well done - don't worry about the purse.

  • lol

  • loved the music and the poem is beautiful, but was distracted by the purse--have never gone hiking purse in hand, but perhaps its done in other parts!

  • Really a lovely and intelligent job.

  • One of my favorite poems, and the video does it justice.

  • Beautifully done, very professional.

  • nice reading AND a beautiful woman!

I do have to say, however... a point is there to be gotten to.

    The several-shot, 1min 20sec intro was a bit long.

    Love,

    Dustin
