im so sorry. thats like my friends old horse. she only had her for 4 months. her name was Scarlet, but she got hit by lightning...along with another horse.
She died one morning of unknown causes, the vet speculated that it had been something internally wrong with her and that she had been sick for quite awhile. I only had the privilage of owning her for four months, so I unfortunately could not tell that there was anything wrong with her. She didnt show any outward signs of being in pain.
I know what it feels like as well. You had a beautiful equine friend. I'm so sorry for your loss. Hopefully she's up there in heaven showing off that gorgeous gait to the other horses. Just remember - she'll always be a part of you.
wot happend quest i had a horse called quest he was my first ever horse and when we wer owt in the woods he got shot when i was riding him he died as soon as i got off him it was a horrible thing and my horse died on the 22 of may 2002 as well :'(
She died one morning of unknown causes. We tried for the longest time to get her into my trailer to take her to the clinic, but she was in so much pain that i decided i didnt want her to suffer anymore so we put her down.

She was very loved, and looks like she lived a very happy life.
