winwood's carreer had brought me so much wisdom and joy i can't thank him enough. a lifetime of the finer things. higher love. and a vacant chair under a paper sun. amazing body of work
'Coloured Rain' is the name of the Traffic fanzine. Hope this isn't deleted - so I won't tempt that by typing the full web-site - but go to:-------- senzatempo.co. the usual and then after the forward slash type in index.html/col_rain.htm
Goddamit...why can't kids today write a melody like this?? And those chord changes? Unreal...all you get today is 3 or 4 major chords, and a canned rythm track!!
@ioriorioriorio Glad I was born in 1962, as I have so many great music and movie memories from when I was a kid ; even remember way before The Beatles split
Gran album!!!

This and the Hassles version of the song are great. And the Eric Burdon and the Animals' version of the song is nothing compared to this.

Steve Winwood was only 19 years old in 1967. Amazing talent.

The bass line he (Winwood, I suppose) creates with the organ pedals is superb, especially during the verses.
