  • I'm from the old school and was into Death, Obituary, Malevolent Creation, Slayer. Now I have chosen to follow Christ. Yeah, technical death metal! These dudes write/play some kick ass music!

  • ENJOY THE MUSIC DAMNIT!! :-)

  • @3dd656 There is a such thing as Christian Metal, Christian Rap etc. because God has His ways to reach out to people by spreading His word to this generation.

  • @7Repen7ance7 No. "Christian" anything is just a way for asshole like you to say "HURRDURR LOOK WE HAS OUR OWN MUSIC GENRES!"

  • @3dd656 Christians aren't suppose to be arrogant about anything, so no we don't say that's our genre because in fact it's really for people like you, me and everybody else that have an ear in this world to listen to God's Word. God has many ways in reaching out to His children (everybody in this world). I was once a atheist always running from God. He kept using His people like vessels, speaking the Word of God to me constantly, but I kept ignoring Him until one day I read a book called Divine

  • @3dd656 so, much animosity about what? Jealousy? Your anti-Christian viewpoint is duly noted, no go away child.

  • @edawg90 OK, first off, I get a anotice for every single comment left on this and other videos uploaded by me, I, the person taht your comment was directed towards. So leaving jsut really isn't an option. Second, you're going to have to be more clear to what you are trying to argue against and point out where you got my "anti-Christian" viewpoint from. Third, I'm not what you claim. I may come off as taht because I like the truth and don't ignore the facts that fundamentalists ignore.

  • @3dd656 it isn't a fundamentalist mentality. Your comment along the lines of, and I am paraphrasing it, "so we can have our version of a genre" aimed at belittling someone else because he labelled it Christian metal. If you don't like us then that is cool, but get off your superiority kick and realize that no one was going after you in the slightest by saying they like Christian black metal. We Christian metalheads catch flak for what we like to listen to. The message we still adhere to...

  • @edawg90 herpderp. OK, I pointed out taht christ metal is not a genre. I pointed out that Extol was a Technical Death Metal band.. I didn't say anything against their lyrics that they use or their own personal beliefs. In fact,I went so far as to point out to another user that it is not lyrics that make something a genre(As which would be the defining factor in "Christian Metal") by pointing out that by saying taht Extol is an oxymoron, his argument would consits of metal is satanic, most likely

  • @3dd656 you need to drop your superiority complex because all you are doing is proving that you have no concept of why someone would object to your statements. You come to a page with a song from a Christian band on it and start running your mouth. I am a Christian metalhead. I listen to non-Christian metal as well, but you do not see me going to those pages talking out my ass about something I may object to.

  • @edawg90 Holy shit, are you jsut ignoring everything I say? Because it sure as shit looks like it. I UPLOADED THIS VIDEO. Not only that, I never said anything against or for a stated religion, if it at all seemed like that, it was directed towards fundamentalists who hardly have an understanding of their own religion. You're jsut being a fucking prick. "herpderp, you have a superiority complex but I'm not going to read yo comment because I think I'm better than you still." EAT A DICK, YOU PRICK.

  • Epic band! I love them so much!

  • @pizzaworkout Haaha, good question. I was wondering that myself

  • Hmmm... Don't usually like black metal. The burial record is epic though.

  • Unblack Metal. That's the official genre ^^

  • @andy123456789A I hate that comment. For two reasons. 1. It's not a real genre. IT never has been and never will be 2. Because it is based solely on lyrics and tools who think that lyrics makes the genre rather than the music produced.

Also, This is a TEchnical Death Metal album.

  • @3dd656 1. YES it is lol. Look it up before posting ignorant uninformed comments. 2. In Christian Metal, praise IS the number one aspect. The only reason Christian Metal is a different genre is because it isn't written for entertainment purposes, it is meant to give praise to God, and spread His word.

  • @andy123456789A Oh wow, someone who thinks that Christian Metal is an actually genre is calling me ignorant. Seems kind of paradoxal in here.

1.No, it's not an actualy genre. It's a made up genre that morons who can't deal witht eh fact that bands that have lyrics about christianty exist as Death Metal and Black Metal.

    2. No, lyrics don't make something a genre. The musical compositions and structure used do.

Christian metal is jsut a term to try and seperate bands that morons don't like.

  • @3dd656

ehrm, *all* genres are made up.

  • @ryanisfootdrums I like how you tried to take any reasoning out fo my comment in an attempt to make yourself look like you're intelligent and/or knowledgable. But it appears to me that it has backfired.

  • @3dd656

    ...nope. My point still stands.

  • @ryanisfootdrums Except, your point was just pseudo-intellectual BS. Get out of here you hipster shit.

  • @3dd656

Nope, it is just a fact. Why the rage?

  • @3dd656 Not only is this technical Death, there are too many genres here to put it in one!

  • I love this song. It puts music to the my emotions when I feel broken and am crying out to the Lord to save me, and the end of the song reminds me that He always redeems.

  • @hexspell9 haha, you fail a little bit here. i know it can sound not christian but it is. lock it up smartass, and you know you can't judge a band only for the music and the melody you must look at the FUCKING TEXT YOU PIECE OF SHIT!

but like i said if you don't belive me LOCK IT UP! and next time don't try to be a freaking smartass next time :)

  • wow a lot of haters are commenting to the wrong video ...if you dont like the concept of christian music not being sung by a mass of people in robes in front of an altar then go take your offensive comments elsewhere unless making sense also goes against your way of living

  • @hexspell9 Sorry, I'm agnostic. But for the sake of proving you wrong. Please, if you can, try and explain how "Christian" Black Metal would be an oxymoron. Personally, I hardly doubt a child such as yourself could make an real argument. Only one with the jist of; "HURRDURR, Black Metal is meant to be Satanic because that somehow makes it Black Metal." Despite the fact that Lyrics don't make any genre what it is, but the musical compositions and structures used in writing the music. Jackass.

  • @3dd656 you know shit about fuck. and you assume there are black metal bands that are not satanic and many bands out there that are satanic and not black metal. the child comment, let me tell you i wish i were, then i would possibly have a greater length in life expectancy. i obviously offended you with my original comment...which makes you one of the christ loving homosexuals, just trying to be cool, that i mentioned...so i have nothing else to say to you or respond to whatever else you muster

  • @hexspell9

your ignorance of who is the creator of music is where you fail. Try to understand that before you spout of your hate and ignorance about a subject you apparently have no clue about.

  • @edawg90 you fail when you assume i give a fuck what you think

  • @hexspell9 you fail when you think you're actually a troll.

  • @edawg90 whateva dawg....fucking nigger lover, shouldn't you be on some rappers page

  • @hexspell9 really? Again your ignorance is astounding. For the record the name Edawg was given to me by a friend of mine who was a drummer in a Christian alternative band...not that I owed you an explanation, but just to show you for being the ass you are. Uncong~

  • @3dd656 all i needed to read was your first sentence...im sorry for you.

  • @hexspell9 Not as gay as you

  • why do i keep running into christian metal? have i been too good lately?

  • I went for a stroll on youtube listening to black metal, but the stuff i was listening to was satanic and full of hatred and such. and then i went back and listened to these guys, and you know what, i can't tell a difference. is it supposed to be that way? now don't get me wrong i like these guys a lot. and this whole genre of music.

  • how i love this song!!!

  • Exelenteee!!! que letra tan buenaaa!! confiar en nuestros sentimientos; siempre falla!!! =3

  • Extol is amazing, I have a few of their tunes uploaded on my channel. Undeceived, Infernal, Grace for Successin, and Paradigms. The entire Undecieved album as always been my favorite...To bad they broke up. I think they were the first to be an intense Christian metal band.

  • Whoa!

This is somewhat....crazy! No offence. But metal is a gender which lyrics usually evoke violence. Christian lyrics are kinda unfitting to such a violent gender like metal.

  • @NibiruShinIori319 I'm sorry if I offend you. But you're stupid nigga.

  • Comment removed

  • @3dd656 stfu asshole

  • @3dd656 the only nigger here is you. nigger. what the fuck you people are obviously not metal...dawg and nigga and fucking ebonics.

  • @NibiruShinIori319: The character in this song is lost, uncertain of where to find God, unable to trust anything. His world is split in two, incomplete. What genre fits this mood best? The answer is obvious. I should know because I listened to the album today...

  • @NibiruShinIori319 ..You need to read the Old Testament, the things that happen in there are so metal..you can't even put it into words!

  • @Dungarth Oh that shit's crazy. Especially the English translation.

  • @NibiruShinIori319 Lol actually its religion to cause violence. Its spirituality which avoids it.

  • @NibiruShinIori319 there are always both sides

  • @NibiruShinIori319 violent gender...lol

  • @NibiruShinIori319

Have you read the Old Testament.....or what happened to annanias and saphira

  • @slamdancer777 yeah, i can believe that assholes like slamdancer777 would like that shit. your name says it all...queer

  • @hexspell9 Wow, now that was underwhelming. Ignorant much

  • @NibiruShinIori319 Metal is made up of loud music, not evil lyrics.

  • Definitely one of the best albums I've ever heard and one of my favorite songs. Now I can listen to it on youtube as well.

  • Nice! I like what I hear!

  • That measn you would like this album. The rest of the albums are all different. The second one is Death/Thrash Metal, and the fourth is Proggressive Metal/Rock. And I'm not sure about the third.

  • The second one is a Melodic/Technical Death Metal, the third is Trash Metal and the last one is Progressive Metal.

  • I would say that the second was more Death/Thrash.

  • The second is closer to what factorrremix said but he was a bit off. I know it'll sound silly, but it's true.... "Progressive Blackened Tech Death".

Progressive blackened death metal, with hints of black metal. ..and it's technical in many places.

Or, we could just call them "Extol".

  • Well, it's been awhile since I listened to it. I may end up buying just so I can make that judgement. Ill get back to you on that.

  • K, so I got the full discography. So I'll say this. When I first tried to listen to Undeceived, I didn't like it. But now I love it and it is actually Technical Death like Burial. While Synergy is Death/Thrash, maybe with a few remaining technical elements here and there. And The Blueprint Dives is Progressive Metal/Rock. Maybe I'll upload the rest of the albums too. :)

  • My favorite album from Extol

  • I think many would agree.

  • Amazing song!! This one and "Blackbird" from "Alter Bridge" Own!

  • This album stands alone in creativity, lyrical content, simply a fresh sound in a plethora of mandane music. Good job, excellent quality on the posting.

  • They rule.

  • This song is what really hooked me on to Extol. This is my fav album.

  • My favorite Extol album too.

  • same

  • luv this album

  • great song
