  • this guy is driving on point!!! Respect given

  • Damn man gotta give you(or the guy driving the car) props! Gotta respect that time!

  • 99.56mph. I think we can go ahead and round up and say he hit 100:)

  • bullshit.....8.87 1/8 mile with just a intake ..tbs..no catback and no spare tire?.....theres something else your not telling us

  • Tell us your secrets to launching this car. There are a bunch of ppl out there that can't drive this car for shit

  • Slow as fuck, these cars aren't meant for speed. You could have bought a EVO 8/9 or a GD STI for cheaper and had a waaaay better platform to build speed on.

  • @iXetsuei No way you can get an Evo or STi for Si money. Maybe with double or triple the miles & several years older, but some people can't afford two cars & have to make their PRACTICAL daily drivers as fun as possible to get their fix.

  • @samburger077 I bought an 07 STI Limited for $20,000 with 53k miles and a clean title. Yes, you can afford an Evo or STI for Si money. And by the way, an Evo or STI is WAAAAAY more practical than an Si. Better gas mileage, nicer/bigger interiors, bigger trunks, better safety ratings, ETC!!!

Face it faggot, you lost this argument.

  • @iXetsuei An Si of equal or less mileage can be had for $12k. According to user-submitted reports on Fuelly, as well as any reputable car review site, Si averages ~26mpg, STi & Evo between 19-21. Also, check Consumer Reports before calling the STi "practical" in comparison to an Si. Save the the anecdotal evidence of this guy you knew who put 300k on his STi, every car has exceptions. CR is statistics. Science. Facts. You know, those things you can't argue with. You lose.

  • @samburger077 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You're going to try and win an argument using consumer reports as fact? Man you people are WAAAAAY stupider than I thought. Have fun driving your consumer reports approved Si! Meanwhile I'll be driving my STI and will destroy even the most powerful of Civics with ease. You know why? CIVICS AREN'T CARS THAT ARE BUILT FOR SPEED! LOL!

  • H@iXetsuei The only people I refuse to argue with are those who refuse to accept reality. Good day to you.

  • @iXetsuei gosh your stupid

  • @iXetsuei Can't tell if trolling or retarded

  • @iXetsuei NO WAY is an sti better on gas than a civic, not even close. Sti drinks as much as a modern v8

  • @22rsx Modern V8s get in the mid range 20s for both highway and city. Terrible example.

  • @iXetsuei STI gets 13 mpg stock

  • @22rsx 14 city 20 highway. My stage 2 gets 25 mixed on the economy map on AccessPORT :)

  • You normally see the Si tested doing 0-60 in around 6.7 to 7 seconds. I've heard of people getting their stock Si down to high 5s and low 6s. It takes a skilled driver.

    Keep it in vtec!

  • @jayrocdachamp that just means he had a slow reaction time, his quarter mile time doesn't start till he takes off.

  • YO THIS VIDEO IS BULLSHIT LOOK AT THE LIGHT B4 HE TAKE OFF LMAO....

  • @JayRocDaChamp YO IMA IGNANT FUCKIN RE-TAWD YO LOOK AT HOW MUCH COCK I SWALLOW.

  • @TITFCUKER THATS WHAT YA MOTHER SAID WHEN I WAS MAKIN HER SWALLOW MY NUT U BITCH ASS FAGGOT.....1ST OF ALL I WASNT EVEN TALKIN 2 U AND 2ND SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!

  • Si is also my dd though so i think part of my problem is i hold it back a little. I'm also on UHP all weathers. need to get some summer tires at least.

is the Omni worth it? trying to not spend much more money on this car as in a year or two i want an evo X (got kids so a coupe isn't doing it anymore, will miss my Si though). but if it's worth it i may do the one last mod

  • this is very impressive. I'm still a novice at driving stick (the Si i have had since 08 is my first) compared to most stick drivers and I've only had maybe a season and a half worth of the strip. The best I have done is 13.5 and thats boosted. (flame suit on). The fact that you can do a 13.7 in a basically stock car just made me feel real small lol. I got to get more seat time. I also don't hit my two step though. I find i spin too much if i go over 3k and don't feather.

  • i call bullshit, i need more proof

  • @theVTECmaster IT IS BULLSHIT LOOK AT THE LIGHT B4 HE TAKE OFF

  • @theVTECmaster

The ECU is clearly stock by the launch, why would I lie about anything else? If it was boosted or sprayed it would be much faster...

It's called good driving and paying attention to detail. The time slip is obviously the same run look at the reaction time.

  • @AK47PERFORMANCE are you shifting at 8 grand or 8.5 on the tach?

  • @ k20a2toofast4u

I got a 08 Si sedan and all I've done to it is put in a fujita Sri and a skunk 2 mega power exhaust and I'm running 15.0's and 15.1's everytime. I hit the rev limiter at 5500 rpm then launch, I'm shifting right before 8000 rpm but I bog and shit. I've seen guys shifting at 8500 rpm's but idk. And apparently I can't drive either compared to this guy lol I'm skeptical about this video though

  • this video doesn't make sense

  • To bad that's not stock but ok

  • Are you on 8thcivic? I didn't see your car listed in the quarter mile time thread.

  • My best run first time at on the bone stock 08 si with dealership tires was 14.7 @98 east coast in MD with a 1.9 60 foot. Right weather conditions with the weight reduc and mods could be possibly. 13.7 is going to be hard to justify to these haters. Same reaction I got when I ran 15.0 all day in my 94 ls integra bone stock with 150k on the clock. GSR guys were accusing me of spraying.

  • nice launch....

  • lmfa!! worlds fastest ecu 8th gen belongs to me.. check my video out 13.5@102

  • not sure if i should be impressed or not...i've lost all faith in honda

  • My 60 is 2.379 best, how much is he deflating his front tires. I also keep my spare tire in. Sounded like he grinded into 2nd, is this the same AK on 8th civic with the 2nd gear grind fix?

  • I have to be honest, I find this a bit hard to believe. I have seen countless drivers at our local track with stock Si's doing 15.1 best.

I have an 08 FA5 with injen CAI and vibrant catback and got around 14.7. An intake and catback doesn't even make a noticeable change in power without a header and tune.

I would love to race at this track. Hell a stock charger R/T runs about a 13.7

  • @007Afflictioni filmed this. i can vouch for the time. yet again. because a shit quality point and shoot camera didnt clearly capture the time ran displayed at the boards doesnt mean it didnt happen. the time was ran when the temps were low 50s and a DA of -100 ft. the 13.7 was indeed a one time deal followed by a 13.9. on a 90 degree humid day that civic ran 14.2 best time in equal fashion. dont believe me? maybe milan is magic. check my page my subaru legacys in the 12s right now.

  • Nice run love the civic

  • Got a pic of your intake anywhere and how'd you tune the maf? Yourself?

  • I just have a aem short ram.

  • Im getting a new trans and clutch so hopefully it'll help out a little bit. Im ganna go to dallas shortly after I get my fg2 back on the road to check how much power is getten to my wheels then it'll be off to the tracks

  • Slow, 94.5 and my 60' is super bad at 2.3 when I get a new trans (because of the danm syncros) im ganna make a road trip to a better track than our local one.

  • @jermee1

Sounds like you may be down on power a little bit, My engine has always ran phenomenal.

    With a 2.0 60 foot you can turn that 15.2 into a 14.6.

Pay attention to little things. Synthetic oil, heat soak, quality fuel. What intake do you have? I made mine and i tuned the MAF housing which makes a huge difference.

  • Your tempting me to do the same setup as you and practice my launch. The omni and short throw make tha big of a difference? The best I can do with intake, spare tire out and cat back removed is a 15.203.

  • @jermee1

    what is your trap speed

  • @AK47PERFORMANCE i am one of them that cant drive these cars. I have cai/rh/e/flashpro/RRC intake/j35 tb/clutch/flywheel/TBS/IMG and TB gaskets and best i can do at Maryland international raceway is 15.2@93 on DR's. i am street tuned so hopefully i can ask other tuners is my tune aggressive or safe...? where are u launching at?? and is there any tricks involved to launching?? ive tried easing it out but i dont think ive been dumping the clutch with fp launch limiter...

  • @k20a2toofast4u wow, i just started driving stick when i got my 8th gen in march and i trap a 95 with just a sri. you REALLY can't drive hahaha

  • @ty922 not my driving bc im cutting 2.2 60' on street tires. its my tune i was tuned too much ignition timing and not enough cam angle.

  • hmm what track were you at in what state? And what time of year?

  • @jermee1

Milan Dragway in Milan Michigan (Detroit Metro area). May. It was around 60 degrees. Density altitude was very low that day.

  • What tires were you running on?

  • @jermee1

    Cheap Nanking 215/40/17s

  • I know shit about cars, but I just want to know if any mods where made to this car or was this just a stock si?

  • @MrTheAni

For this run the car had:

    Short ram intake

    Short Throw

    Omni Power CMC

    Cat-back removed

removed spare tire passenger seat (the seat weighs 70+ pounds with the airbags)

  • I have a grind on my 3rd on my 2006 honda civic si coupe :( ... came from manufacture

  • nice man props to you for running a great time!

  • good launch!

  • Wow I didn't realize that the Si came with that standard. Pretty neat feature. Nice video btw AK47.

  • I would like to know if you don't have a reflash or ecu mod then how is it you have launch control ( two step ) ? I have launch control on my car and it sounds exactly like yours.

  • @tapout954

    See: Highest Rated Comments

  • @AK47PERFORMANCE are u ready 4 this? OK... i like PANTIE with yellow/brown STAIN on them!! buddy are u ok?

  • Damn I should let you drive my terminator haha great run, Not a honda fan but you really did that car some justice.

  • Wow that SI can run. I find his car very impressive.

  • how do u maintain your car do u do oil changes less then 3000 k.. do u try not to smash alot to preserve ur motor??.. i have a mugen si and i feel it lanches this qwick but its stock...

  • ""proof that most people can't drive these cars."""

?? bro most people cant drive there car in general... lol

  • @Konamtbdjc1k

haha you know what I meant. There are guys on 8thcivic.com posting low 14s with flashpro and a header!

  • @AK47PERFORMANCE haha i know i was just sayin..

  • @AK47PERFORMANCE are you on 8thcivic? cuz i am as well. Thats really impressive, were you powershifting?

  • K20 all the way!

  • thats how you drive!!!! for now on thats how you fuckin drive!!

  • @Cag57o yeah for Blue Streak refrences!!!

  • is it better to run the car with the VSA On or Off?

  • @MMOLegend

off for sure. Allows for wheelspin. A little is a good thing.

  • what kind of street tires did u have

  • @LauPacino

    Nankang NS-1

    225/45/17

  • test drove a 2010 si cause my 03 gti 1.8t had a bath in a big flood. I dunno not hatin on the si just felt kinda slow. Maybe it was just the lack of torque compared to my old gti which was chipped and a few other mods. Either way opted to spend the extra cash and got a 335i. Havent regretted a moment yet of my choice. Respect for civics tho I do like them just dont think it would have been much fun with such low torque. 13.7 pretty impressive though

  • i'm not a fan of hondas. but dude.. amazing shifting. nice seeing someone able to drive

  • @person3213

    Thank you!

  • @AK47PERFORMANCE

im trying to get a 06 si is there any upgrades i should get done to it?? as far as performance

  • Damn. Thats how you drive an Si.

  • damn music

  • @immortal4942

    What about it?

  • him the credit. for the car did do an amazing time for having noting but some mild weight reduction done to it. its called practice and a -60 Density altitude. on a 90 degree day the car ran a fastest time of 14.1 at 98. which is still respectable. dont be sour because a B series is a bitch motor that couldnt make it trying to stack up to an SR20

  • @TITFCUKER That would be a K series. Not a B. Not hatin'.... just saying.

  • dude those cars come wiwth a secondary rev limter stock. for the record the two vehicles i do own are a 91 nissan nx and an 06 legacy GT. the 4 civic SIs i did test drive during my purchasing phase all had that secondary rev limiter to keep morons from revving the piss out of the engine while it was in vtec. As i speak for this car. i was the one who recorded the video. the car ran a 13.7 after try and try again 20 passes. im not gonna lie for a honda. i think hondas fucking suck. but ima give

  • wow...you are a dumbass those cars with good drivers barely run mid-high 14's and you have a 2 step launch control that doesn't come stock homie k-pro anybody??? :-)

  • @EFnboosted

BRO you need you educate your ignorant ass. The 8th gen Si comes with a factory 2 step at 5500 rpm. not you mention you can't even use K-PRO on these cars. It's called flashpro. It's clueless people like you that make youtube a troll-ridden shit show.

  • @ckyguy68 Was this supposed to make any real sense????Where did you go to school?WTF when you talk shit to someone read it BEFORE you post it or you look like a DUMB FUCK! Who would listen to someone that writes shit like this. And he's the one whose "clueless"???Really

  • @EFnboosted learn before you speak...... 8th gen doesn't even have k-pro.

  • @EFnboosted Stock Si has a 5500 rpm limiter when at 0 mph.

Check out any flashpro videos, the two step launch limiter sounds NOTHING like that, unless you make the delta rpm value anything but 0.

  • @tonton423 thats only if the car is in neutral that the limiter stops at 5500 rpm? so if the car gets moving it will go to the 8200 top rpm just fine?

  • @mjeatsies

Doesn't matter what gear you're in, as long as the car is moving (forward or backward) the car will rev past the 5500 rpm non-moving limit.

Whether VTEC will boot or not next, is dependent on oil pressure =]
