  • This group didn't make it because Nancy, the lead female vocal lost her voice.

  • I am a Sweetwater fan but this an agonizing vid.

  • This is and was great. Woodstock lives.

  • That dude in the hat is friggin' horrible...it's hard to hear how the rest of the band are doing.

  • LETS CREAT THAT TODAY GUYS !

  • This is the worst thing I've ever heard in my life.... and that's saying a lot... I do admit, after skimming through this video I stopped and willfully listened from 8:20 to 8:50 but I swear, if anyone tries to subject me to those horrible sounds again, I'll kill them.... ...fair warning, OK?

  • As much as I wish my opinion were different, this really sucks!!!!

  • I was born in 83. I wish I was around to see Hendrix and Cream (not at Woodstock I know; they had just split.) perform, but I honestly don't care for this.

  • is this in any dvd?

  • @Dbalx Hi,I am not part of the band, but Sweetwater were cut from the original folm in 1970 and to this day Warner Brothers has never released any of it.Sweetwater have only 1 solng from Woodstock on CD and that is a very hard to find one to find.It was Rhino Records 1st internet only cd offering and i think it was limited to 10,000 copies.I think the 1st 100 or so were signed by 3 of the original living members.

  • @Mr43338 maan..i am really thanx you for the informations.thanx for spending time to answer to my question..so..do u know if i can find anything in mp3 from them like this song cos i like it the most to download?thanx :)..also..its a shame that they have been cut from original woodstock dvd...:/

  • sounds like to bands on stage

  • I was born in the WRONG era (1974).....I missed out on all this good stuff.

  • @DXPunx74 I've always thought I was also, 1973

  • not saying nothing. My musical tastes are all from sixties and seventies. But sitting here listening to this, this is buy far the most horrible thing ive ever heard in my life. Did they get tomatoes thrown at them..where is the vaudville...this sounds totally horrible. They need to get some music lessons

  • Nancy Nevin is my English professor! how cool is that? She loves sharing her past experiences with us! I love college :D

  • Whoa~serious rare footage there. Been searching for something like this for a very long time. The made for tv film was never enough to convince me of this band's awesome performance.

  • They were the sound check for the rest of the festival, and went onstage as soon as they got there.

And they didn't make it because Nancy Nevins was in a car accident and suffered brain damage and vocal chord damage.

  • They sound good in the studio but they sure as hell didn't rehearse much for this performance. What the hell was happening that first twenty seconds. My God that was offensive.

  • NO wonder this group didn't make it . the beginning o this sounded like when peter and lois smoked some weed and tried to sing on that episode of the family guy.

  • @gittahfiend HA! Excellent analogy!

  • @paulybxxxxxxxxxxxxxx as a matter of fact, the WHOLE PERFORMANCE sounds like it .

  • @gittahfiend Sweetwater were the sound check for the whole 3 day show. There were no soundchecks before they took the stage.Richie Havens was just on stage by himself and did not have a band behind him.If you listen to performers after Sweetwater is is a whole lot better. But also remember this was 1969.Marshall stacks were not the norm for the bands.

  • Woodstock 2019? There better be a 50th anniversary festival!!

  • this is great amazing never seen whered you get this footage??

  • 3 days after Sweetwater played on The Red Skelton Show Dec 1969 singer Nancy Nevins was severely injured in a car accident, which stopped the progress of the band Due to the accident Nancy suffered brain damage & for a # of years following the accident, & permanent damage to one of her vocal cords. Nevins, Herrera & Del Zoppo reunited for Woodstock 94 More Info @ Wikipedia

  • this is the lost Sweet Water, the girl had problems with her voice and I think they disappeared somewhere after Woodstock 1969. They coulda ve been alot better then they were

  • Looks like real film makers work with the frame rate running. Looks like they were just getting a feel for the shooting process as Sweetwater came on after Richie Havens and much of that was hand cammed right from the stage. The sound quality is good as well and they were using 8 track tape (reading the Michael Lang book now). I stopped over at the site in Bethel (now Bethel Woods) coming back from Thanksgiving and you get the vibe just being there.

  • She also had great long legs - but the most amazing thing was that voice. What a voice. This is not the best example of her vocals - they were pretty fried from getting there and the weather was - well, not all sunshine. She still sounds pretty good today. You can find Sweetwater still performing at sweetwaterband. com.

  • What is the source of this footage? And what beautiful long hair Nancy Nevins had then!

  • please come back.... I want woodstock '69.... need a time machine XD.... crazy and amazing...

  • @max31188 This is not their best. A car crash ended them, they were really good though.

  • @max31188 no kidding i would go through hell for a .00000000009% chance of ending up at woodstock!!!!!!

  • VH1

  • Amazing!

  • yeah
