Marty Turco Can Make An Awesome Save Too

His play has gotten worse since he left Dallas, but the guy is one of my favourite goalies even though I'm a Canucks fan.

He has a penchant for these long games...both goalies played like crap, but come OT him and Lu epically duelled 2 minutes away from a 5th OT before Henrik Sedin ended it.

@jimih64 this was Game 6 in the 08 playoffs, Stars were up in the series 3-2. This was the 4th OT, I remember it ended at like 12:30 AM here in San Jose (started at 7:30 PM). Fun Fact- It was the eighth longest game in NHL history :)

Marty Turco can make a great save, once a month, he's way too inconsistent, so glad we got rid of him and Lehtonen in the head goalie now

@jaguarfm51 yeah but thats no way to talk about a great goalie, im from vancouver and i got a stars jersey with turco on it, he means so much to me and it hurts seeing him go, and I remember when the stars made that awesome playoff run with turco, not to mention he had 3 shutouts in the vancouver series, he wasnt the reason the stars were losing.

@SuperGonggong i talk that way about most of the players i like though lol, as bad as it sounds, sometimes i keep the mentality that i have when im watching the game outside of the game.i tend to criticize a lot harder because i play hockey too.

@jaguarfm51 id like to see you play in the nhl as a goalie that has more puck handling skills that most forwards, turco was fantastic and he should retire a stars goalie, we won the cup already and we almost won the cup with turco this time .

@SuperGonggong He was fantastic, and he did have to make to face to many pucks because of Dallas playing poorly in the D zone, but he has been in the decline. Still a great goalie, just not as good as he used to be. I think Dallas made the right move with the new goalie

@DJHA133 ok, im still sticking with my thought, and yes he has been getting slower, but not to the point where he has become a cancer, i watched van vs chicago the other day and turco really knows how to mess with vancouvers powerplay. he has many weapons in his arsenal to still belong.

i was at that game!! i was on the first row when right behind the net when brenden morrow scored the game winning goal in 4th OT. and it was on a school night. that night was crazy!!

Great play by Robidas, cutting off a passing lane. He and Trevor Daley are great at that. And look at how fast Turco gets back up, and back in net.

Turco DOES play stand up...what goalie are you watching? Him and Brodeur are like the only two that still do great stand-up goaltending. and midge843...although I find both interesting as I'm a goalie myself...Stand-up is definitely more exciting then butterfly.

dude turco does play stand-up yes it is a more hybrid style but it's still considered stand-up do to the fact that he doesn't do the butterfly like other goalies now a days

Ya Nabby's save was way harder to make i agree wit Lundqvist3035, Nabokov had to stretch far and plus it was a glove save :)btw Turco didn't have to kick his legs up anyways he had his blocker there.

nobokov's save was way harder are u kidding me he had to track the puck get back up move keep his eye on it and watch it in the glove and keep it from going over the line...turco kinda just did a two pad stack and than got hit with the puck..i have made turcos save..i could never do what nabokov did...he covered 6 feet in a full spilt

If anyone on here has ever played ice hockey you would know that the Marty's save was way harder to make than Evgeni's. Don't get wrong Nabokov's was nasty as shit, but just not has hard...plus Marty made two in a row.
