Sniping a pilot is ridiculously hard..most I've managed is a hit marker. As for Jets direct collision taking out a tank..I guess you have to do it at the right angle, because I've done it(horrible jet pilot) and I've gotten nothing.

@Hollowomegasbeast i've sniped a helo pilot once, and it was mostly out of luck. i was trying to do it, but was more or less just shooting at the canopy cuz i couldn't actually see the pilot, so i was pretty surprised when i actually got the headshot.

I have clipped choppers with my jet and they blow up bc they were already damaged but i barely survive, so its not a 'push into ground' thing. I love the chopper pilot kill/theft move. Classic battlefield.

If you "land" on a helicopter (that is, you simply touch it with the underside of your jet) you can inflict damage to the heli and your jet takes no damage. I have done this countless times when my strafing run fails to do that last bit of damage to the heli.

And btw, you can hit free falling soldiers with a jet and kill them. I do this to noobs that eject from jets as i am about to kill them. They think they are safe ejecting and then *SPLAT* !

I think the myth about killing the heli by driving a jet into it is really the jet pushing the heli into the ground, causing it to explode.

@ATalkingHouse No, direct impacts cause both vehicles to take "physics damage". That is, a vehicle moving faster than a certain speed will inflict/receive damage from another vehicle be it stationary or not.

However, the free falling soldier thing... Soldiers do not take damage from other soldiers traveling at a high speed. Try the human tank cannon thing and launch into another soldier and you will die from the impact while the other person will be left untouched.

I've observed that if you hit them with say the cockpit part (so not nose 1st) so it sort of hits and pushes it up that you can take them out easily, it is tricky though to hit the sweet spot but if you get good at it, it'll become like 2nd nature. Sooner or later you'll be getting 6 man road kills :)

just for the record, if you shoot the helicopter a bit before you ram it you will also get the kill for it. so instead of just suicide it will be enemy killed x2 for the gunner and suicide.
