I love my S-works Stumpjumper FSR and my previous Elite XTR but, in both, the S-Works The Captain lasted 500km and 130km. You shouldn´t make a tyre with such fragile sidewalls and put it on the back of a trail bike.
Among other two I own "Stumpy" too :p:p:p Coolest bike ever..I mean there's many companies who make cool bikes similar to this design but...Stumpjumper has that cool, elegant & not too pretentious look+overall quality! Some companies make bikes which look like robots,Santa Cruz for example & with all due respect i don't like that.. BTW 5 dislikes? Whats not to be liked in this video!!!
This dude knows all there is to know about mountain biking. He's prove of the type of shape cycling can keep you in throughout your entire life. Just be sure to have kids before you start putting 160 miles in a week, ha.
i rented a stumpy when i was riding in Montana, and it was the best bike ive straddled. the thing clings like none other to any surface and the goes down hills like they're paved. the only hold back is the wide tubes hurt to fall on because their square, o just stay up and your golden! super bike!
Went from a Santa Cruz heckler to an 09 sj. The stumpy kicks ass! Way faster and handles drops no prob. Climbs like a Billy goat even at 140mm. The brain rocks. Love it!
im not an expert on those bike but they look almost the same... haha i think that i qwill get the epic though cause its only 2800 with the brain and the eundro is 3300 with the brain...
i don't know..im not really sold on this "brain" technology. I can see many situations where it would have trouble. For instance, what if you're going up a technical climb and the inertia valve doesn't feel any g-forces and doesn't open up?? id rather just flip two switches and have my fork and shock do what i want when i want..
I love my 08 stumpy , Specialized makes the best xc bikes ever. I weigh 225 , took a 4 ft drop landed on both tires and rolled away with ease. If I were to try this on a GT thier shitty frame would have cracked in half. Specialized knows that a bike frame needs to be stronger in certain directions, the result is amazing durability and control. ps GT is known for bmx not mountain bikes .
Dude if you are doing a majority of all-mountain riding go with a Specialized Enduro. It climbs decent but not as good as a Stumpjumper w/ the brain. Now if your doing mostly XC/Trail riding, go for the SJ all the way! If you got the cash get the Brain shock, its well wroth it. Its a Complete Package.
I use to have one. A hard tail and it had so much flex in the frame, it was unbareable. I liked all the specialized hard tail's I've own. I'm currently looking for an FSR :)
Yeah I've got one of these and love it! I've had 4 stumpy's in total so far and this is buy far the best. I have the expert model with brain shock on the rear which took a bit of getting used to but I wouldn't be without it now. Just fantastic.
ya right!i will never buy a specialized bike, cause not a single four linkadge frame coulde be able to be sentive to small bump than a double pivit one...hes lying!
Sure kid. Specialized invested tens of millions into the R&D for that bike and its frame. I'm sure you know more than the 50 or so engineers that worked on it. Think before you write. Idiot.
The one thing that put me off about buying the new 08 stumpjumpers are the crappy colour schemes, apart from the black and carbon ones that I cant afford. Anyone agree?
had a Stumpjumper FSR Expert for about 4 months now and still blown away by how well balanced it is. the rear shock is better than i expected it to be, solid on smooth trails but when bit bumpy avtivates at once. Nice work Specialized!
I just got a 2008 stumpjumper pro...the rear shock suck...i change the air psi everything the rear shock doesnt seem to be moving thenever i hit something...dont buy it...
I looooove my stumpjumper mm I got a 07 its a great bike. even with out the brain fade. I had an Epic but it dident fit my ridding style. so the shop let me trade it in. NEVR A BAD TIME TO RIDE..

can you use the brain to do some all-mountain biking? or is it mainly delegated for xc/trail? was wondering if i should save up for one.

yeah, the bullshit-yellow one on the pro is the worst color ever. but the orange on the expert is quite nice.
